@alphabet 1 in 5 isn't bad. Though its logic is probably based on how many murder mysteries gave appeared on local newspapers there
06:49
Idea for a Halloween costume!
06:48
At the very least, incessantly haunted by ICE agents asking which hospital he was born in
06:47
@alphabet well, he has an accent. These days he'd be deported in a blink.
06:43
Here, for half a dollar a month, you could get 5 gb of mobile internet with a speed of around 20 Mbps
06:39
No wonder, after centuries of soul-searching, Dracula decided to make a home there
06:39
Romania does sound like it'd be in one of those limbos. Exactly non-modern enough that the price of things in general is not ridiculously high. But not exactly as 'developing' as Iran or India either.
06:33
@alphabet maybe they're just excited to be there
06:32
A backwater country like mine doesn't care all that much about insulation and global warming and such
06:31
We have poor insulation, mostly an engineering issue I guess.
06:31
Though they never heat up the place enough
06:30
@alphabet oh. We have these radiators but they're pretty noiseless.
06:28
No it doesn't make scary noises except when the fuse makes a starling tick sound when the outage starts
06:27
So mine is like a case of buying a Lamborghini and putting it in a garage and never using it
06:27
(I have a strong suspicion the electricity stolen from our houses is used to mine Bitcoin or similar for IRGC)
06:25
Really I never turn on the air conditioner because we already get 2 hours of outages every day and supposedly that's based on usage and Hezbollah won't fund itself
06:24
Well that's much better than my room so quit your first-world complaining :p
06:23
@alphabet oh. I thought 70-80 was delta T.
06:22
So between like 5 and 40 degrees centigrade?
06:21
@alphabet wait what
06:20
Except for some countries that are in a sort of limbo where cheap actually does mean cheap
06:20
@Arfrever given how cheap Iranian Rial is mine costs less but converting currencies doesn't exactly convey what an item really costs, does it?
Jul 17 22:17
@Mitch I guess if an insider starts something they would promptly be corrected with "dude wtf"
Jul 17 22:12
I wonder who has claim to the codpiece
Jul 17 22:11
He's put on armor and a breastplate, but no breeches
Jul 17 22:10
> Dear fellow Christian, we are at war with principalities of wickedness in high places. Be sure to:

Put on the Armour of God
Strap on the belt of truth
Fasten the Breastplate of righteousness
And fit your feet with the shoes of peace
Take your helmet of salvation
Grab your sword of the Spirit
Jul 17 22:06
@GratefulDisciple why would an opportunist care about image?
Jul 17 22:05
Or Hitler. Or Napoleon. Though Napoleon was probably overcompensating for his actually-not-that-short staure
Jul 17 22:03
@GratefulDisciple exactly. A shallow mindset set on immediate gains. Not the sort of ambition that was in Lenin, trying to change the world so everyone would look at life his way.
Jul 17 22:00
@Arfrever I mean of course. It's a large population of humans. I never understood statements like this.
Jul 17 21:58
@Robusto well every American president makes life harder for us Iranians while claiming they're on our side, but I do think he doesn't have the knowhow to cause the apocalypse. He has done irreparable harm to democracy worldwide, but either he will turn into a full-blown dictator with some proper ambition, or he will be remembered as 'that shitty president' so parents can gloat to their kids that they saw the insane Trump era.
Jul 17 21:51
It's outrageous that America has allowed such a man to steer the ship, but the man himself is not any more outrageous than your average opportunist scumbag
Jul 17 21:49
Does he have a vision for what he's aiming to achieve? Doubtful. He's just turned an entire country into his reality TV set.
Jul 17 21:47
@Mitch at the end of the day he's just an uninteresting bigot. Being a psychopath that'd kill everyone is too exotic for him.
Jul 17 21:41
Heard he blew a gasket over fans wanting Epstein files
Jul 17 21:40
Oh, Trump, the world's favorite conversation topic
Jul 17 21:36
Oh, and I forgot, covering your skin (with clothes or even an ointment) afterwards increases skin hydration, which can increase the systemic absorption of your corticosteroid, hence causing the side effects.
Jul 17 21:35
@Cowp it's generally expected that topical corticosteroids are absorbed around a few percent at most, but that is enough to manifest side effects in people, especially after a variable couple of weeks. Prednisolone is too potent, I would have recommended triamcinolone or mometasone max, and only hydrocortisone if it's sensitive skin. Dermatologists here can be irresponsible by administering potent corticosteroids, which are overkill.

@JestaBH it's just a chatroom. Anything goes. Mostly.

Though if you're here with a problem the chances of me being able to help with it are minuscule

@JourneymanGeek [FR] change room name to "Stack Exchage Lost & Found"
Jul 11 06:21
I hope he's not invading anywhere
Jul 11 06:21
@JourneymanGeek it's one of those premonitions. Like the rumors before Musk bought Twitter. Or when Russia started saying the Ukrainian army is full of nazis.
