@Shalvenay Slit's are normally for tighter dresses, which wouldn't really work for what you have in mind. So maybe holstered on the calf? Gives you a couple of draw options, in terms of concealing the draw

@Shalvenay The usual. Purse, underskirt, billowing sleeves. I wouldn't recommend the bodice for this one (what a weird shaped chest they'd have!) but you could stash an extra set of bolts there

@Shalvenay assassination, go for either the big boy™ for range / dmg or the itty bitty + poison for a sneaky sneak. Urban? I'd be tempted to go for the Drow hand-crossbow kinda gizmo, so it's big enough to hurt but still light enough to conceal and pull out in a "surprise, suckers!" way

@Shalvenay ladies have the obvious purse / bag stash. For a man, I guess it would depend on the size? theres ones that legit fit in the palm of your hand (they would neeeed to be poisoned, bolts are too little for real damage) that you could just shove in your pocket. Billowy sleeves, strapped to the wrist? Strapped to the back, undershirt, concealed by cloak?

@Shalvenay you wouldn't need a heavy, piercing blot if you're not dealing with plate armor or chain....Something either thin for precise damage, or (IDK if this is a thing, but we can make it a thing) something that shatters on impact like a shrapnel bolt?

@kviiri True! But a slow infection won't save you from the thug with a knife thats now mad you shot him

@Shalvenay depends on the type of bolt used, range ect. You could definitely get a kill shot if you get a good bolt to the throat

Yeah true, @kviiri ... you'd be able to do more damage if you get poison darts too. and it's difficult to pull of quick

@Shalvenay pocket crossbows are a thing too, but also don't have the punch to deal reeaaaaal damage

@Shalvenay depends on the destruction your looking for, I suppose. A wrist slingshot is easy to conceal, and set-up, but you'd need an amazing shot to kill someone. You're more likely to knock them out.
