@Narusan I think that there is a chance that this could work. Targeting experts is probably our only way to create a site that deters people asking low quality questions and giving low quality answers. However, we need the community to help too. Community moderation can be more effective than anything the moderators can do if we have an active community.

There have been a few times in the past couple of months where I've thought that maybe we stood a chance. Sometimes we had a few knowledgeable users who were giving really high quality answers and I really thought we'd start to get better, but it seems that the quality of the site inevitably degrades again.

Personally, I think that not being a medical professional in any way was a huge detriment to me being a good moderator

Regarding the two upvotes, I would guess that users either didn't read the whole answer or didn't care that the answerer plagiarized

BTW, thanks a lot for all your help as an active community member recently. We as a mod team have been slacking, but users like you have helped Health SE a ton.

@TheEnvironmentalist I agree with @Susan. I think that the original question is just too broad to rephrase without completely changing the intent of the question.

As for the QPD problem, I'm going to look into other sites to see how they've dealt with the same issue. Bringing back monthly or weekly topics to ask questions about is probably a good option. If we can get to 6 or 7 QPD we might have a good case for graduation.

@Shokhet We still definitely have some major problems that we need to fix, but I think that if we, the moderators, and the rest work a bit harder together to up the quality of the site, we can vastly improve this site's condition
