I'm trying to find a way to VERIFY if the SSL connection is working properly or not (Java). I'm aware that not using a proper certificate or wrong certificate will throw an exception but how to really see that the data is in fact ENCRYPTED? I can use network packet sniffing tools to check this, but any automated way to test this?
I have changed the setting in windows update to get preview builds three days back, but still unable to get the update that has Bash on Windows. Anything else I need to check for?
The response from typing something in my ssh connection is very slow! The remote system has enough free memory and the cpu usage is not so high (Ubuntu Server 15.04)
Usernames in Windows Server 2012 are not case sensitive right? I don't see any MSDN resources confirming this though I think this is true. Can anyone share some thought on this?
Hi, I have researched about this in security.stackexchange but I still have a doubt. The application that I'm building to a client talks to several third party sources and I'm not sure how to store the passwords used by them. Hashing wont work, so I could encrypt so at least its not in plain text. If the attacker has access to the filesystem all third party passwords are indeed compromised. Any other better way to achieve this?
Hi, I am fresh out of college (Masters + 2year exp) and I got a job, I am trying to negotiate but I am unable to get any success from that. The least I am trying to get is some relocation. Can anyone help out with that?
Hi, I just replaced optical drive with HDD in my MBP 2012. Can I configure RAID? I also want to ask if it would feasible to make a partition in HDD as backup (Exact copy of SSD) and use the rest for other purposes?
He is my boss, its not a emergency issue. He is just letting us know he wont be at desk for next 2 hours. Nothing much, I replied back 'Hope she gets well soon". I think its more of a appointment than anything else.
