I appreciate your appreciation. @Zanna

@Zanna all good; if one of my suggested edits is part of a bump&kill, then it is good for the community. I just decided to hunt for titles that include the largely unhelpful phrase: "not working". Thanks for attending to things.

@BeastOfCaerbannog Now it's looking smart. Thx.

@BeastOfCaerbannog if I had something in mind, I've forgotten it.

Is this off-topic no repro? I was going to suggest an edit for a better title, but might not be worth it. askubuntu.com/q/75732/955434

I guess I'll need to write a SEDE query to search AU for [keyword] and order by pageviews descending.
Jan 5, 2023 00:03
@andrew.46 It's been awhile since contributing to AU. I forgot that the community is so overwhelmed with content versus the capacity of its curating volunteers that old (deadwood) content is viewed as not worth improving. I don't see this attitude on SO, CodeReview, or JoomlaSE. JSE has deadwood, but the daily activity is so low that caring for deadwood is manageable.

This old question could use a loving edit to improve the English, but I think it should come from someone more experienced than me. askubuntu.com/q/103478/955434

General discussion for joomla.stackexchange.com

I appreciate your support @NikeDattani, but if we don't get enough candidates, you won't be able to vote because there will be no election.

I'm having no problem deciphering the lines.
Dec 27, 2022 00:02
@GuilhermeNascimento not helpful.
Dec 26, 2022 23:54
@GuilhermeNascimento I have solved the lines. I don't know what to do with the rotation indexes.
Dec 26, 2022 22:36
Are there only 3 vowels in the collection of letters? Maybe I am trying unscramble the wrong letters.
Dec 26, 2022 06:44
Likewise. What am I supposed to do with the decoded sentences? Which letters are to be extracted?
Dec 25, 2022 21:22
I do like that when I Google the decoded lines, I get results about neo-luddism!
Dec 25, 2022 21:21
What am I supposed to do with this set of decoded lines? What is the clue for getting one letter per line? Why are people talking about rot13?

 JSE Mod Candidate Pulse Check

For users to express their interest in becoming a JSE mod
Oct 18, 2022 09:22
@Rosie I don't know if you got my message in the Joomla Mods room, but can we proceed with an election to do a full mod team reset?
Oct 8, 2022 03:22
@Rosie can you tell me what the exact qualifications are for JSE users to be eligible for self-nomination?
Oct 8, 2022 01:24
@Glorfindel Is there any chance that you'd be interested in adding JSE to your collection of sited moderated? Our workload is beyond minimal, we are a bit short on candidates, and I want to hold our mod panel re-boot election as soon as possible. (I don't actually know if 165 rep is enough to self-nominate, to be honest. This info may be inaccurate/out-of-date.)
Sep 20, 2022 11:13
Thank you very much for your patience, @TerryCarter. I'm going to make one more push to have a fully legitimate moderator election. If we get even one more candidate, I'll ask for an election to be scheduled. If no one else comes forward, I'll ask for a process to get you onto the mod team.

To have a democratic election with voting, we would need at least one more candidate. If more than one more candidate comes forward (we'd have 5 or 6 or more nominees -- including Pe7er, Terry, and myself), then I would ask Stack Exchange to hold the fully legitimising reset of the mod team for the post-beta phase of JSE.
May 11, 2022 21:20
With Terry's intention to self-nominate, we can now only reasonably have a vote-less election (like when I became a mod). This would sadly be a missed opportunity to get community engagement.
May 11, 2022 21:14
Thanks Terry. You are the first to make an expression of interest to self nominate. Please be advised that if you don't "@ ping" anyone in your chat message, then no individual person will be notified in their stack exchange inbox.
May 3, 2022 22:44
@Eoin I think, ideally, we want to recruit from within the Stack Exchange sphere. Someone who has no prior experience with Stack Exchange other than being an occasional lurker is not going to have the innate passion and understanding that really helps them to gain traction and feel confident in their actions. This is why I manually reached out to our highest-repped users who have actually logged in "recently".

Thx Zollie
Apr 28, 2022 23:16
This has been an interesting reveal about how often our highest rep users are checking their JSE account.
Apr 28, 2022 23:16
Thanks for letting me know.
Apr 27, 2022 20:52
Is it less about "being another year" and more about "we only have two moderators and have graduated out of beta status".
Apr 27, 2022 12:09
Thanks for letting know.
Apr 27, 2022 01:45
@NeilRobertson No worries. You get a gold star for being the first reply. Cheers.
Apr 26, 2022 19:51
I don't want anyone to step forward if they truly aren't interested. There isn't much daily work to do as a moderator, but there are also plenty of jobs that can be done if someone wants to dig into special projects. This is not meant to be a closed invitation. If you know if someone who wants up self-nominate in the next election, please let me know. Could you please reply to me and state your likelihood of self-nominating in the election to be held this year?
Apr 26, 2022 19:51
I'm pinging you all because I am seeking a pulse check for how many people might self-nominate as a candidate for an approaching election. At this point Stack Exchange has asked pe7er and me if we would like another pro tempore election where only one new candidate will be elected or if we'd like to do a full reset of the mod team. My preference is to run the full reset, but for this to be a good exciting election, we should have at least 6 candidates.
Apr 26, 2022 19:49
