That seems a reasonably strong consensus to me, and that's apparently based on the case where the two answers are in exactly the same language. So I'd be even more inclined to allow them when the language is different

Kind of. They can only move single hops though. So the 2-mover is like a 1 square at a time bishop, and the 1-mover is like a 1 square at a time rook, but there's nothing that can make all of a king's moves in a single step
