I just took out my first batch of local rocks... I wasn't sure they'd be interesting (the most interesting rocks I've got here are landscaping rocks) but they're better than I thought! Now I know what to do with all the darned rocks the kids pick up lol

Page layout is especially time consuming to grade... I look at their process, the final product, their layout files... I had 60 to grade and I'm at 57! Freedom later today!

though I'm pretty sure admin would never allow that haha

We have a conference on ungrading coming up soon, looking forward to that

I'm commenting more than I'm grading... but I'm not sure it's that useful when the work is already submitted

I used to have an originality criteria in my grading rubrics, and after some reading I just dropped it because it is a mess

Has Finnish law tackled AI and copyright yet? It's still up in the air here

so that encounter was informative but not in the way I had initially planned for lol

He was super bitter and seemed to think I was the enemy

when I got there, the guy had obviously not made the jump to the computer. He was still doing stuff by hand, had Pantone markers, etc.

I agreed, thinking it would be informative and I might even end up with some kind of mentor

when I was a graphic design student, one of my neighbours suggested to introduce me to their friend who was a professional graphic designer

@joojaa for sure. I think a lot of people are angry about being replaced but that's been part of history and has nothing to do with copyright
