It does not seem to check for ambiguous solutions. Only if the intended solution matches the given regex.

But if I am going to post my own regex crossword-type puzzle I need to know if the solution is not ambiguous >:)

It also makes me want to write a program that can solve these kind of puzzles. Because I can :P

But I love the concept. May do a harder one after solving this one.

And they seem to use minimal character sets.

Welp, added another hint

I posted a puzzle on Dec 11, but no-one got the answer yet. People stopped working on it once I had to award the bounty anyway. I don't think I can post any more hints without spoiling part of the puzzle. What is more acceptable: Posting a hint that solves part of the puzzle, or just posting an answer that outlines the precise steps that should be used to get to the answer?

People not posting anything on your puzzle is probably the worst thing for a puzzle creator. I really have no clue if people just don't want to solve it or if they find something too difficult.

It might help people waste less time if they want to process the entire hex at once instead of in parts.

In Python and Java I know about them. In C, C++ I don't think such a thing exists natively. In javascript, I think it will turn things into floats, and finally gives up with +Infinity.
