Yea I have the Windows machine at home for gaming but if I ever would do any LaTeX stuff at home I would do it from a virtual machine I think... But I guess if one normally uses linux then one want that to boot first...
Hm the feeling of being completely stuck, having spent a long time writing a minimal example (without solving the problem), having asked the question and hoping someone will give some nice pointers while at the same time feeling that although one is completely stuck one should try to find another solution... Is there a word for that feeling? :)
I thought I would bounce a question by you guys. I know big community wiki lists of similar answers is a bit complicated. However, I found myself looking at my ToC the other day and thinking: "is there nothing nicer around?". I have looked a bit and found a few question implementing specific wishes for specific ToC layouts but I am yet to find a big list of nice ToCs.
does anyone know what's going on with lualatex and ttf fonts? I just updated texlive and now it refuses to find fonts in the same folder as the tex file which it found just find before...
yea, it's just that I (and I will happily admit that my brain is frying here trying to learn pgfplots for the first time) looked at that question / answer over and over again and could not solve my problem. Also I can not see the solution I got in that question so I am having a really hard time understand in what sense it is a duplicate. And since I want to learn pgfplots for the moment I would love to understand how it can be a duplicate. It's not so easy for a bear of very little brain...
well I want to explain things both with figures and text so feels natural to have them both in the same file. I am just wondering if I am missing something obvious...
