given a square ABCD a starting from the left bottom and mving counter clockwise draw the diagonals. let the diagonals meet at O. now if we bisect the angle CAB equally 22.5 degree each and extend the line to meet BC at Q. and the diagonal BD at P .. Is it possible to prove OP = 0.5 * CQ

hi I have a question

Nov 12, 2015 07:07
ok
Nov 12, 2015 06:40
i am not limited to node btw, go scala erlang would suffice too
Nov 12, 2015 06:39
I heard/read something like this: " your node application and store the urls to a cache like redis and an other application (maybe a nodejs one) will subscribe to the key and then perform the necessary steps, you can have multiple workers doing this " .. it sounds real fun , in theory.. I just can't find any example of this kind
Nov 12, 2015 06:39
how do I do that thing
Nov 12, 2015 06:39
@RobertHarvey ok so for doing a transaction block I need to get blocks of url right?
Nov 12, 2015 06:17
is concurrency the right thing to do..
Nov 12, 2015 06:16
I have a json file (40mb's) containing an array of urls, I want to read it and and then write the data in sqlite3. at first I was doing it in nodejs .. I was streaming the data and inserting into database.. but the problem is its soooo sloooww and its like it will take forever to complete .. so I think maybe commiting the data in chunks of transactions (like say I have four process that reads 10mb's of json) and then write it to sqlite in a transaction..
but I am confused as to how do it like .. like one process has read urls[0] to urls[999] how do I make sure that the other reads next the
Nov 12, 2015 06:04
hi anyone up?
Nov 3, 2015 16:35
anyways thanks
Nov 3, 2015 16:35
I have to add a question for this.. :( that's frightening ..
Nov 3, 2015 16:32
https://github.com/argentum47/jobsearch this is the application the MavenTestApp is the java part now I need to make a servlet .. but I have to add a web.xml file somewhere which I don't I want to since I read routing can be done with annotations now.
But to access the app like localhost:8081/blabla/search .. I need to put that context root somwehere.. where blabla is the context-root .. so I was wondering if that too can be done with annotations and not the xml file.
Nov 3, 2015 16:28
hi there, java men here? I need some setup related guidance..
Jul 24, 2015 11:58
ok ok..
Jul 24, 2015 11:56
I have to learn C++ then... :P
Jul 24, 2015 11:56
yeah you are right
Jul 24, 2015 11:55
fuck pointers
7
Jul 24, 2015 11:55
no I am wrong
Jul 24, 2015 11:54
In the while loop they are going to the last instruction node to be inserted, and then (assuming the 'after' instruction is the second last instruction node, such that after->next is not NULL) .. then they do after->next which is the first instruction to insert .. so first_instruction->previous = last_instruction .. isn't that circular ?
Jul 24, 2015 11:48
yeah, I am also confused about that part too...
Jul 24, 2015 11:37
@Ixrec ok .. thanks.. twice
Jul 24, 2015 05:01
github.com/fabianm/brainfuck/blob/master/src/… in here, is next == iter ? if not then why. I actually can't understand the significance of the lines 185 and 186
Jul 24, 2015 03:05
github.com/fabianm/brainfuck/blob/master/src/… these two lines... isn't next == iter ?
Jul 22, 2015 19:03
um.. you could use the a localStorage that would save those offline requests.. and then if you have Connection object.. that can have a status... (ping the server to see if there is a connection, or someother way) and watch that object (MutationObserver) and when you have a connection..just execute the requests from the localStorage ..
Jul 22, 2015 18:59
hm.. that's true
Jul 22, 2015 18:57
yep .. plus there can be things like .. id: 1 sent a friend request to id: 2, now that gets stored in my localStorage and then I a hacker(black..ish) tamper that data, replicate it and change the id's :P .. so better not to allow such stuff... ( I am not saying that its not possible by modifying the request data on the fly.. if someone wats to crack he/she will crack)
Jul 22, 2015 18:53
@Andrew nothing on client side is supposed to be secure ... that's why people come up with persistant login mechanisms .. I would say.. not to allow users to do stuff that needs sending request to server and validating stuffs .. and other than that .. I like indexedDB , but then I never did pouchDB :P
Jul 22, 2015 18:51
@Ixrec no.. I have a little more insight now.. the other parts will get more clearer as I type the codes.. for now I will just do the simple + and ">" ... hopefully those won't be complex like looping.. .. thanks for the help .. to bothof ya
Jul 22, 2015 18:45
ok..
Jul 22, 2015 18:44
yeah, but brainfuck programs are so long .. I guess that is used for computation purpose like any caching of intermidiate result .. maybe .. dunno
Jul 22, 2015 18:41
:D
Jul 22, 2015 18:41
what is that TAPE_SIZE 3000 for ?
Jul 22, 2015 18:37
yeah ... ok ..
Jul 22, 2015 18:37
ok .. so it would be useful in case of loops ..
Jul 22, 2015 18:35
"another tuple representing the state of the Brainf*ck tape" what does it mean "state" of the tape ?
Jul 22, 2015 18:31
" inspiring many a programmer to write up their own Brainf*ck compiler, interpreter, or quine" ah so I am not the only one ... cool
Jul 22, 2015 18:28
@durron597 that's the 3 file brainfuck souce in this few lines in erlang ?
Jul 22, 2015 18:26
@durron597 looking
Jul 22, 2015 18:26
@Ixrec umm, I actually don't know ... is it a linked list by design or can be a stack too.. I don't have much of CS background .. I was trying to read Compiler Design from here and there ... but reading understanding and then again reading will take months.. :P so if I could get some key hints then I could actually see and write and understand as I write ... that makes faster :P
Jul 22, 2015 18:22
and second is github.com/fabianm/brainfuck/blob/master/include/… what the purpose of this.. is it normal in a compiler design ?
Jul 22, 2015 18:21
I actually had a few questions ... first is why use a linked list rather than a stack ...
Jul 22, 2015 18:20
has any one read the brainfuck source code ? :P
Jul 22, 2015 18:19

@Jamal ok...
Jun 16, 2015 15:58
well in the SO chat room Somekitten only answers angular question and when he is online I am in deep sleep .. :P its hard to adjust timing . but he helps sometimes ..
Jun 16, 2015 15:50
anyone acquainted with angularjs ? I have a small question .. should I put https://gist.github.com/argentum47/3719d7ce6b6156fa1a46#file-profilescontroller-js-L37-l73 these outside the index action, globally inside the controller?
won't it re-render the vm.profile everytime I hit the index action ? bcoz of the angular's digest cycle ?
