Ok AD experts. What is the purpose of setting an 'SMTP' bridgehead in sites and services? IS SMTP every actually used for intra/inter site replication?

As far as I know I have never actually seen it on the wire.

@FalconMomot I believe it only works when you have a valid client-auth PKI solution in place.

But again, no one uses it so I don't remember the specifics

I know I have seen people here have that happen when they have changed their passwords. The mac expert told me something like you had to go tweak things in the keychain.

I assume the first one unlocks the actual volume to resume from hibernate and the second on is the normal logon because the computer sleeps for x minutes before hibernate which locks the screen

So, I get why but I can't figure out how to make that not happen, since the docs make it sound like it shouldnt

@MDMarra Right, but by default your filevault password is the same as your login password. So once you type your login password, it is automatically cached and handed off to apps that request it.

If your filevault password is different, there is a way to save it to the keychain, which may be what you want

But I haven't used a mac in a couple years so I can't help much.

Its pretty easy to set up an NFS target

And Veeam itself acts as an NFS location for vSphere. It's pretty cool. It adds an NFS datastore that has just the VM you want to recover. You can then either start it and get what you want, or storage vmotion it elsewhere

@Iain I'm getting that way, but I am naturally a night owl, and live with people who are very much so. It's hard to get to sleep before 1AM. =/

I get up at 7-ish as a rule, even if I'm tired. I find the forced schedule makes my head clearer.

I'd strongly consider becoming a 10PM-5AM sleeper if I could get some co-operation.

Q: Cannot login as root user in ssh

I create an user with root prevelages in my server. Now i cannot login into the server as root through ssh. Also I cannot access the vi editor through the new user login.
