I'm not familiar with Origin's DRM (or the one that will be used on the next Sim City), but if I buy the game, will me and my girlfriend be able to play it at the same time, each one on their Macs, at home?
Or we will need two separate Origin accounts and buy the game twice?
@Lazers I think it'll be fine to edit this to the slightly more generic "two computers" instead of "two Macs"
Anyway, given the fact that you weren't suppose to do this even back in the days of "please insert disc to play game", I doubt you could do that now with always online DRM
There are four basic approaches to running the same game copy in parallel on different hardware, from the most lenient "You can do it", through the slightly more restrictive variants of "You can only do that in single-player" and "You can't do that" to the most restrictive "You can't do that - and you can't run different games on the same account at the same time either."
So we've already discussed how to handle this scenario in the general case. Now for what concerns this specific situation, what should we do?

The reason we close pre-release questions is that they are speculative. (That, and it causes weird corner cases once the question is no longer speculative...)
If a "pre-release" question about a game can be asked and answered without speculation because an alpha/beta/early version exists, regar...
Anyway, my stance is beta question is fine, unless you're asking explicitly about something in the retail version of the game. Beta is just another 'version', and answers can always be edited if the retail version is different

@kalina Pfffft, for a long time here I wore no shoes, became an office joke. I have mine on now as they are a pain to lace up (I'm wearing walking boots again) but if I'm in trainers/shoes they come off asap.

For the longest time, I've been running XBMC v10, but wanting airplay capability, I updated to the latest stable version. Now my audio no longer works in XBMC. My system sound works, and other apps work as well, just not XBMC.

I have a laptop at home with a broken screen, planning to install gentoo, hook it upto the tv in the bedroom and do xbmc on it. Hopefully it works nicely :)
