Q: Do other vehicles or upgrades make a difference in Extreme Road Trip 2?

I've been playing this game on my tablet the past few days, gathered a bunch of coins and in-game money. Also unlocking different vehicles and upgrading them too. Does it matter if I buy a new vehicle or upgrade my existing? I haven't noticed any difference in the way different vehicles perform...

I'm playing as a halfling slinger/hexer

So I just ran into a group of goblins, and hexed one with inner flame, then killed it with a slung stone, causing it to explode and catch most of the others on fire

then inner flamed one of the others, so when it died it exploded and killed the rest

There are now chunks of meat all over the level

@Powerlord The idea is that there is a skill progression where you get better as a player, rather than simply in-game progression where your numbers go up in the game. It's really rewarding if you have the patience for it, but it's not for everyone.

@Powerlord That D17 is more dangerous than I expected and be more careful when going there. Don't stand around and attempt to fight things you can't see. Always have an escape route even when you think you're safe.

Unfortunately, the early game is generally one of the harder parts because your low stats make you more prone to being killed by random bullshit.

Having said that, it makes it easier to shoot things without locking on, as long as it's not too close to the edge of the screen

Yeah, I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know if it's unwieldy. I just mean that the touch screen is actually pretty neat and has positive gameplay implications instead of negative ones like with the original WiiMote.

Shake the WiiMote to perform an action was the worst mechanic, and every single Nintendo title had it, as did too many other games. It was so imprecise.
