@JNat I asked for Manga references.. not wiki references. we tend to loose context where that information actually came from if we just rely on wiki references. Next thing you know we start getting unreliable references and the site credibility is hurt. — MozenRath9 mins ago

@MozenRath I understand that, but the wiki does not reference anything regarding that 'retaining physical damage part'. However, the fact that Kabuto can modify the technique in order to choose the body's age is somewhat implied, since he was able to do it with Madara
@MozenRath The point is, you can't expect every answer to be ideal. Sometimes, we cannot remember the exact chapter/page (remember, in Naruto there're over 600 chapters). The Wiki provides a concise summery, which often includes any information you seek.
Instead of focusing on the reference source, focus on the information given to you in the answer.
The information in that case is correct, whether it came from the manga or the wiki matters less.

@Madara, they don't generate rep until the site is released (in both betas the reputation is shared between the main and the meta). But a community wiki answer explicitly allows everyone to edit it ;)
Well, I wasn't here at the time, but from what I understand, suggested edits are a relatively new feature. Before that, people would use Community Wiki to designate posts to be edited easily by low-rep users.

Almost everything in everything is based on something previous to it, usually cascading back to antiquity or legend. So a huge loose list sometimes viewed as a poor fit for a Q and A site.

Why do (most) alchemists require a transmutation circle? Does any circle suffice or does an alchemist require a specific type for each (type of) job? At least the size seems to matter...

@MadaraUchiha I was thinking of doing a community ad where you compel the viewer with your tsukiyomi. The tag line could be something like: "This is the community you are looking for!"
@Alenanno it not bad. But if it wasn't for the bottom line, it could almost pass for a Chemistry.SE ad. I recommend using a sans-serif font for the tag line. It makes the letters stand out more.
