@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні If she gets on Paimon black list, I would not exclude that being the "ugly nickname" she will give her.
"Bacon hair"
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні so basically... the "novel" has two parts.
First part is Wukong causing a mess and ending up challenging the gods.
In this part, the focus is Wukong.
The second part is after he is trapped under a mountain by Buddha himself and then tasked to be a "bodyguard" for a monk on a journey to recover some sacred scripts.
in this part the focus is still Wukong but you also have the male monk and two male other side characters that were divine being punished for their sins and because of this join Wukong and the monk on the journey.
Despite Bulma taking the role of the monk at the beginning of Dragon Ball (that started as a parody of Journey to the West) there is no female in the main party.
There are females, mind you... but those are side characters in the plot.
Also consider that the actual journey is kinda following a "monster of the week" anime style scheme.
They get somewhere, there is a foe, the foe is beaten, next location.
so most characters aren't really relevant for a long time.
Being an action game that has to adapt....
a novel that apparently translated into English spans FOUR 500 pages books...
I expect them to focus on "Wukong VS dragon" more than "Wukong talking to inn girl about the demons in the mountain"
To put this into context...
The novel mentions seven "spider lady" sisters
I assume the main female in this clip is one of them.
since it is pretty clear that there are many references to webs and spiders.
So... they get a SIX MINUTES SCENE
JUST TO INTRODUCE THEM
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні alas, what I mean is that for example as Wukong is making some chaos in "heaven" for example there is a "princess" that gets some more focus .
But since the game skips that part and jumps straight to Wukon fighting the Heaven Generals - who are male.... the princess is probably never to be found.

@SPArcheon-onstrike hmm, interesting
Devil's advocate: representation only as a villain is not good representation :P

@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні well, that is their role in the original novel.

@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Look, the current situation is quite weird.
First, there were rumors of sexism and inappropriate behavior from the game company devs. Some referenced an interview and some translated passage, but then other sources pointed out that the translation was purposely wrong and crafted.
then we had a rumor about the company getting "an offer" by a popular western "Diversity & Inclusion consulting" company to help them "making the game appropriate, just pay us big $$$" and refusing that. No proof it was true
then now you have the whole "no diversity in the game" (seriously, I would have to check how many female characters were even mentioned in the novel outside very marginal roles like "she existed" - sadly all I have is a 100 pages summary of a 2000 pages long story...)
Then some claims about the company requesting reviewers to avoid topics like "feminism, Covid, chinese government and so on".
These really seemed like what an idiot making up some fake story stereotype would think off (seriously... COVID??)
Since then it has been proved wrong, then confirmed, then proved wrong again then confirmed again etc etc etc...
Obviously, I would point out that IF a smearing revenge campaign existed then I totally expect that the "proves" of these "request" being "western youtuber who said they received the mail" are easy to craft.... you only need those youtuber to be on your same agenda.
Trad: from the outside you will never know.
A friendly reminder of all the reiterated sex abuse scandals that we get in western movie productions, soon forgotten when the new Avengers movie has to be made.
All the world is the same.
And I repeat, unless you want to spend days looking into this, you won't be able to find a real answer.
On one side, a bell shouting accuses, with an agenda of monetary interests.
on the other, a bell shouting at the accuses, with an agenda of hate for those accusers.
both sides making up false stories to win, no hope left for seeing the truth behind the facade
