@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні apparently based on Chinese players - which seems to be more favorable to the game because reasons - about FOURTH % of the game is MISSABLE if you rush because many maps are hidden, not required and so on.
Apparently - and this has been confirmed from multiple sources, not only switching the order you fight some bosses changes the plot and their difficulty (like some wanting to take revenge and becoming stronger).... some bosses even have a second phase that only triggers if you are very fast in defeating their first form. Apparently these have other rewards that you miss otherwise (reminds me of Mega Man Zero).
so, like I said, many reviews not only give me the "rushed as fast as I could" feeling (that is kinda inevitable when you have to write a review on release day... being a game reviewer is trash, your work is to rush and not enjoy games that you may like. Imagine having to rush thru the new Zelda over a weekend)... they also look like the writer purposely ignored multiple levels of depth in the game mechanics.
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Yeah, I wonder why they didn't add swords... or even guns since we are at it.
It is not like the game is based on a legendary figure that always used a staff, right?
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні yeah. They totally should have added the option for female Wukong, that would be so accurate to the original material.
Or maybe switch a few characters genders around to make it more 50%-50%.
I mean, don't take me wrong... But I doubt that if anyone was making a game about Christianity someone would be so utterly stupid to lament that "the twelve Apostles are all male"
Had they at least ranted about visuals (the usual "too much fanservice" etc etc) I would have given them the benefit of doubt
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні the heterochromia in her eyes seems to play on the two personas idea.
and again... she still has that after Focalor supposed death.
> the game economy in OPTC is one of the worst I've ever seen. 50 gems for pull is absurd it should be 30, the lack of f2p gems is alarming, content being centered around new units that you can't pull without spending is absurd, 30 pulls for guaranteed is also ridiculous..1500 gems for guaranteed lol, should be a guaranteed at 750 and then at 1500 at bare minimum. They have offers up now 300 gems for $100 so basically $500 usd to get 1 guaranteed legend
^ while the "500$" for a guaranted new character is alarming "average" for many gacha, let us remind that OPTC releases new units almost every 14 days. So each two week you can get up on average two new units. Pity does NOT carry over, and the units will become worthless as soon as the new event launches and they are no longer bosted.
By comparison, in you average "open world" Genshin-style gacha your units will be usable "forever" (yes, there can be a minor powercreep but it is still pretty low compared to the "card based" gacha like OPTC)
Klee was released in version 1.0. She is still usable in version 5.0
(actually, she works very well in a team with Furina... so if you see someone talking about "Klee-rina" you know what they mean)
To "play" and enjoy the game you also only need one copy of a character btw....

@SPArcheon-onstrike was that supposed to be "one fourth" (25%) or "forty %"?
@SPArcheon-onstrike I was less annoyed by "why only staff" and more annoyed by "is clearly an intentional move by GameScience". No shit, Sherlock.
@SPArcheon-onstrike to be fair the post said something about it being based on a novel, which had a lot better gender ratio. Whether or not that's the case is not something I'm willing to investigate :P

@SPArcheon-onstrike Focalors is her divine form that was supposedly smitten by the big sword?
@SPArcheon-onstrike water and fire, oh my
@SPArcheon-onstrike does she smell like fried bacon?
