Ugh, I forgot that "feature" existed.

@UnrelatedString Note that I'm mainly intending this room to be a move target, rather than a place for discussions to start

The main issue this room addresses isn't "we need to talk about off-topic stuff but cluttering up TNB is bad", it's "we have clutter in TNB sometimes but no good place to move it"

But, just like the Edge of Propinquity, I'm hoping people learn to start posting off-topic stuff in this room rather than doing it in TNB and making an RO move it later

Part of the reason I would rather the off-topic conversations start here is that I think they should be opt-in. I had to turn off pings for every message in TNB, because half the time its just some random garbage, or a stream of consciousness about something I don't care about.

And I should note I'm talking about the bad-off-topic stuff, like unicode spam, streams of consciousness, or entirely off-topic things, not actual discussion about a topic that more than two people in TNB are interested in

I hate the person who set up my school's Chromebooks so much

There are so many settings that they don't let us change for absolutely no reason

I can't get rid of the bookmarks bar, I can't get it to not open Clever every single time I open the browser despite our school not even using Clever for anything, I can't delete any of the fifteen (15) useless extensions they've installed, I can't turn on Enhanced Protection, I can't keep sites from asking for my location or change most of the other site settings

I think you can put Chromebooks into some kind of developer mode.

Hmm, apparently developer mode wipes everything on your Chromebook, although you can log back in with your Google account so maybe it's okay
