@GingerIndustries I'm not saying it isn't, I'm just saying that the option was there to cross-compile it on a fast desktop instead of having to do the build on the slow device.

Thats the only thing I could think of that went on SO, Latin and Code Golf lol

SO and Code Golf are kind of red herrings

Q: Questions with the longest shortest answers?

Steve BennettI'm just curious about any pure code golf questions (ie, not ones that build on other answers, just straight up, solve the problem with fewest bytes) where even the shortest golfed answers (especially in golf languages) are particularly long. Do any problems stand out as ones that were particular...

ello guys
shld i post anything tdy?

Apparently node doesn't know how to truncate a map in the repl
So now there's approx 100k lines being printed to my terminal
And I can't stop it without losing a ton of work

ಠ_ಠ

And now the whole terminal emulator just sigill'd
Hoofrickingray

In theory you should be able to access the previous commands with up arrow, idk if that'll work though

Yeah, managed to redo the last like 50 commands I'd run

3:36 AM
> I haven't the slightest clue what that does but it looks a bit cursed. I'd try to fix it but it looks like the sort of thing that, once touched, would start a snowball of weird errors going that ends up enveloping the earth.

Replacing it with a var b = blocks(); while (b.length) b.pop(); might work

Maybe
Anyone want to play tanks?
Also, anyone seen a challenge that's "check if the counts of each item are a range 1...n?" (for example acacia or sleeveless are truthy, falafel or potato are falsy)

I just drink so much syrup that I want to throw rn

@Niko now why did you do that?

he's challenging god

we were cooking something

Pancakes?

Incorrect.
You're niko. So therefore pancakes were being made.

sweet dumplings
oofs
you are correct lorewise
anyway, i am not feeling good

@Niko then how did you end up drinking it?

i like sugar, so i asked my classmate can i drink it
they said yes
and they start tempt me to do it
didn’t expect that they actually drop 1/2 bag of sugar into it

Q: Heart Point Generator

l4m2It's mentioned last time that, in Hearts, Each round every player gets a non-negative amount of points. The sum of the points is 26, and at least one player gets 13 or more points. Actually, it's the game part: Average the 52 cards (♠♡♢♣ * 23456789 10 JQKA) to the 4 players The player with a ♣...

that was atleast 200g

4:03 AM
@Niko that's a big yikes from me

Can't believe you had your maple syrup spiked
7

and one of my classmate end up eating a frozen sweet dumpling

@Niko how and why did this happen?

4:06 AM
yikes

we told him that it’s edible

ಠ_ಠ was it?

and one of the classmate tried to bite it lol
said he couldn’t bite it
so another one just engolfed it completely
and it actually tastes nice, according to the one who ate it

A: I double the source, you double the output!

Deera WijesundaraPython 3 (notebook), 2 bytes +1 This only works in a notebook enviroment. Also, You can replace the 1 with any p. number and it'll work. Try it online!

CMM: should be a synonym of ?

^(the message i posted) CMM: is that invalid
cause it doesnt print to stdout

we've had repl answers before
the tio link is a bit pointless though yeah

@UnrelatedString oh

@pxeger Probably, ask on meta

8:20 AM
i'm not actually sure this is a valid one but i think that's how they work
i would probably suggest that they change the header to "Python 3 REPL" since that's the established thing to call it and if there's a meaningful distinction between notebook behavior and repl behavior it doesn't matter for this solution

guys shld i post anything from sandbox

Don't post so many challenges would be my advice. Yes, post some once in a while, but try to post more answers. Of course, that's just my opinion. Go on ahead and post a challenge if you would like.

@ophact im not very at solving usually
brain someimes malfunctions 99% of the day

8:34 AM
Practice makes perfect, I sucked at solving when I started, obviously.

meh
i've been coding for 2 yrs
i got nowhere
ok maybe somewhere but still
i would like to post a challenge
but im still waiting for someone to validate

Sure, which one?

simulating bombs
it got 1 upvote no comment tho

that upvote was mine

bruh okey thx lol
zhiwei sun squares i got 1 downvote
so u think simulating bombs is a good puzzle?

DialFrostFactorials of primes decomposition You have to decompose a positive integer/fraction as a product of powers of factorials of prime numbers. For example 22 = (11!)^1 × (7!)^(−1) × (5!)^(−1) × (3!)^(−1) × (2!)^1 10/9 = (5!)^1 × (3!)^(−3) × (2!)^1 Use this special notation: prime number#power to...

adam or pxeger ru free to check my sandbox post? codegolf.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/2140/…
thx
ophact upvoted it so i think that others should take a look as well

@Adám thats not what i was thinking

10:55 AM
all my other posts are bad tho

currently writing a specification

@DialFrost You should have a test case with a chain reaction of Bs, ideally going in a circle.

oh
why a circle?
@Adám
so something like this u mean?
000000000000000
0000000B0000000
0000B00000B0000
0B00000000000B0
B000000000A000B
0B00000000000B0
000000000000000
0000B00000B0000
whoops i messed it up abit but get the idea
ok wait no circle is going to quite tricky

@DialFrost No, I meant so each one can trigger the next one, and if people are not careful in their implementation, they could end up in an infinite loop.

cuz B bomb only explodes diagonally
ah ic
u mean like each B causes the next B to explode?
(with a A bomb to start the chain reaction)
like this:
B0B
000
B0B

11:07 AM
@DialFrost Doesn't B explode only orthogonally, and NOT diagonally?

ye
sry i forgot bout tat
check the most recent one i sent
something like that?

Yeah:
A
 0
  0
   B00B
   0  0
   0  0
   B00B

ah ic
thx ill make a test case for it
so like this @Adám?
10
0000000000
0A00000000
0000000000
000B00B000
0000000000
000B00B00B
0000000000
0B00B00000
0000000000
0000000000
i set a few more B's aroiund as well
output should be
->
3332101000
3A32102000
3333103001
223B33B322
1113103003
123B33B33B
0003003003
0B02B02002
0001001001
0000000000
@Adám ?

11:37 AM
sigh he offline

@DialFrost Yes, that'll do. (I was just helping with cleaning the house. We're moving next week…)

oh
thx anyways adam!

@lyxal i got yearling 2 days ago

anyone else have feedback?
congrats stackmeter!!!
is yearling like a thing wr ur a member for a year?

@DialFrost yes
and you need to get at least 200 rep

11:52 AM
ah ic
idk wat it is lol i only here for 1.5 months
:)

bruh
you are nearly twice my rep
and you've been doing this for less than a fifth of the time i have
rip

@Adám you are moving?

meh
its cuz u dont post much @StackMeterPlus

@PyGamer0 Yes.

@PyGamer0 ye he prob is

11:55 AM
@DialFrost because i always get ninja'd
in python

haha
anyone wanna give comments/suggestions for my simulating bombs challenge? :)
maybe emanresuA or pygamer?
or stackmeter?
since yall are online

looks cool

the word "bomb" in the title always attracts attention

Q: Chain reaction of bombs

AdnanIntroduction: Before the task, here is what every element does on the map: Plain land (X): This does nothing. Destroyed land (-): This is the same as plain land, but destroyed by a bomb. The active bomb (!): On a map, this will destroy everything in a 3x3 square: XXXXX ...

but mine is more complicated right
i can add the link tho

12:00 PM
question: i haven't touched my duolingo account in 4 days, should i be scared

@Adám but its not dup right
duolingo??? wats that

@DialFrost i think this should sum it up

@DialFrost No, I don't think so, since yours preserves the bombs themselves, risking cycles.

I haven't touched spanish in a year or so

ah ic thx adam
any other feedback guys?

12:28 PM
aaA
@StackMeterPlus yes

@GingerIndustries I apologise for not having recorded any screaming today
I plan to get most of it done on Thursday
and by most, I mean the 4:39 I'm yet to do

quick, someone send me an answer worth downvoting so I can have exactly 14000 rep!

?
but u have 14,001
downvoting makes it 13999 i though?

12:44 PM
No, pxeger wants to downvote something, which only costs 1 rep.

if someone downvotes me, I lose 2 rep
but if I downvote someone, I only lose 1 rep

i am 40 away from having a rep digit
1 111 rep

i am 20k away from 20k :(

I have rep.

I am.
or, at least, I think...

12:56 PM
therefore?

sum

guys shld i post simulating bomb

1:13 PM
@pxeger any of my answers

@lyxal excellent. we await your new ASMR anxiously.
@pxeger ⊕

@lyxal was 21 seconds all you managed before your parents stopped you? lol

lol pxeger

soon, soon...
update: due to reasons I have been unable to open my pakidge for some time, but on Thursday I will be able to open it for the first time, surprising and delighting everyone within a 5-block radius

what does this "pakidge" contain that you're so excited about?

1:18 PM
parts

for?

a device

doomsday?

perhaps

literary?

1:25 PM
no
it is a machine for doing things

like?

oh, to stuff things into the closet.

no, it's parts for a machine that does things

indescribably evil things?

1:31 PM
maybe

what kind of machine is it?

a useful one

a thing doer

is it an -inator?

1:32 PM
ok, 20 questions. Animal, vegetable, or mineral?

is it a big machine?

is it related to coding?

Are we likely to survive its usage?

1:32 PM
@ophact no
@Adám I cannot answer that

is it larger than a loaf of bread?

how big is a loaf of bread
i do not have one with me right now

about 10cm x 10cm x 30cm?

can I have that in American please

man, gotta love the lag
does it contain sharp parts?

1:33 PM
yes

@GingerIndustries 4×4×12

@GingerIndustries 4in x 4in x 1ft

@pxeger then no

okay, are the sharp parts an integral part of the usage?

uh
it doesn't work without them

1:35 PM
does it cut things?

Is it intended to separate body and soul of small creatures?

ಠ_ಠ

@Adám geez Marisa Coulter, let's not go there

yall have 11 questions left

1:36 PM
does it contain >1mol of any of the following elements: helium, lithium, beryllium?

good question
this may take me a little while

If it has any air pockets, it is very likely to contain some helium.

on a related note: does it contain alkali metals and halogens that bond together when the machine is used?

@pxeger it does not have any large amount of any of those
@ophact I don't think it does

does it use electricity?

1:39 PM
yes

(not one of the 20 questions) how many questions left?

does it have a digital display?

oh wait actually no
sorry

1:42 PM
one other thing:
any guess counts as a question

do you intend to move it around regularly (>= once per day)?

anyone wanna approve my bomb simulation challenge

is the machine used in activities related to food?

1:45 PM
yes

if you got in the bath with the machine (while it was operating), would you die?

it's... a toaster? (Groundhog Day reference)

no
4 left

@ophact it contains sharp parts, so we already knew it wouldn't be a toaster

1:47 PM
oh yeah
does it contain parts that move really fast when the machine is used?

does it share a name with a popular open-source 3D modelling software?

does it operate with batteries or do you plug it into the wall?
when I say batteries,
I mean
replaceable ones
like AA, AAA etc

it's wall powered
final question

1:50 PM
it does not contain lithium, nor alkali metals + halogens, so it probably doesn't contain a battery
wait do alkaline AA batteries contain halogens? idk

by "contain", perhaps they meant contain as part of the machine's initial configuration, without any batteries
but idk
I'll let you ask the final question

if it's not a blender, I can't think of any other fast-moving sharp devices which are used with food

Maybe a fan to cool hot food?

well, I'll give you a free hint: The fast-moving sharp part is unrelated to the food part

i gtg guys
bai! cya tmr

1:53 PM
I was thinking of blender as well but would you die while in the bath with a blender? (if the blender was not blending you, of course)

hmm

@ophact electric shock.

hmm

ill try to post simulating bombs by tmr

1:54 PM
presenting a diagram of an onion:

@Adám forgot about that

^ (handwriting reveal lol)

nice handwriting tbh

better then mine
you still have 1 question left

(well i wrote that neatly)
(my real handwriting sucks when i write fast)

1:58 PM
anyone?

I frankly have no clue

I think noone's asking the final question because noone has any ideas that fit all the clues

yes that's exactly what I was thinking.

ah well
