tbh the only minor issue i have with vyxal is flags and my opinion on that is sort of just "these feel cheat-y but i still stand by the current policy to let them exist and cost nothing"
anything else is just unfamiliarity and it's overall pretty well designed and decently executed
less so the latter but that's what the rewrite is for :P

^
One problem I have with the Vyxal community is that it has now turned me into a baka who regularly uses "sus" online and very nearly embarrassed itself by using it irl

@hyper-neutrino Your bot's looking kinda sus, looks like someone already ejected it

!!/status

@hyper-neutrino I am doing excellently.

kinda scary tho
:P
any vyxal helps

12:47 AM
@Niko have you ever run lyxal on the online interpreter?

you know the rule and so do i
@hyper-neutrino one day there will be hundreds of flags and flag chaining everywhere

2 hours later…
2:56 AM
@lyxal You realise Aaron's trick still works?

only the arbitrary number part
B and b are gone

That was quiite clever.
Why'd you remove space, newliine does exactly the same thing :p

?

Ok, I just realised what you've done.

I thought I left space

2:59 AM
You've found a dictionary word whose compressed form contains some of the remaining characters, and eval'd it.
It must start with C, but I can't figure out where to go from there...

@emanresuA did I actually accidentally ban space?
because I didn't mean to
oh
oh you meant ` `
I thought you meant ð

Yes
I meant #1

probably a typo
eh

No comment on my previous one, eh?

not really - I already had a preplanned solution ready
as I stated, I had 3 solutions planned
2 of them worked
the 3rd is what you're trying to get

3:02 AM
"Cheaper"

...

Aka ‛§ε

dang it

Oh wait no... the a nukes it all, dammit.
Or... what?
How?

that's for you to determine

3:05 AM
I feel like those two messages were trolling me...

I swear they weren't

Why is mysql in Vyxal's dictionary?

google probably

Or... Constant works, but a bunch of stuff is dumped on the stack and I can't figure out how to nuke it.
Wait no, it errors because nst

@emanresuA the dictionary is based on a 10k word list from Google with bad words removed, titlecase versions of words added, plus a few thousand (or maybe less idk) three letter combinations that follow a certain pattern (like no letter repeated three times, at least one vowel, etc)

3:10 AM
Oh.

the three letter combos are all lowercase btw
I used vyxal to autogen them
@count_vowels:1|(`aeiouy`nc)W∑;
`aeiouwrtypsdfghlcbnm`3↔vṅ
'@count_vowels; 0 >
 n @count_vowels; 3≠∧
 nĠvL2c¬∧
 nC¯≈¬∧
 nøDL4≠∧;L
that's the generation program I used
so the rules are that they need to have at least 1 vowel, need to not have 3 vowels, not have any letters repeated twice, and not be consecutive
Idk what that last condition is

Evaluating a dictionary-compressed word is a very clever and language-abusive trick.

ah okay the last condition is that it isn't already in the dictionary

In terms of the language spec, I've found a solution. In terms of the implementation, I haven't.

lol

3:22 AM
Ok, uuεuεuεuεuε‛§εḭ for C, and the rest comes together.
Now to make a generator.
Very nice idea.
No concatenation... I seriously have to flatprint the whole thing???

:)

The reason I noticed / thought of that was because you unbanned and I thought, hmmm, why could that be?
Oh wait no, I can just eval W∑ at the end.

lol
you never looked at how I printed everything?
W∑ was at the end of all of my cracks
followed by however I got the comma and a double eval

3:51 AM
Victory!!!

ah
why the spoiler?

not everyone knows about it, and i didn't want to spoil it
there's nothing like the very first time you go into that fight

5:03 AM
anyhow, does that you'll be moving onto ch 2 now?

pretty soon, i just need to go do the last boss

is deltarune a sequel to undertale or are they disjoint?
wait toriel shows up in both so they can't be fully disconnected

disjoint

@AaronMiller well, after I solve Rouxls Kaard's dastardly Ultimate Puzzle

two different stories
different timelines
similar characters

5:05 AM
ah
also the deltarune fight theme s l a p s

it's very rude

From the FAQ:
> How does this game relate to UNDERTALE? Is it a sequel?

Please don't worry too much about that.
Essentially, this is not the world of UNDERTALE.
If you completed UNDERTALE, the ending and world are as you left it.
If everyone was happy there, the people in the UNDERTALE world will still be happy.
So, please don't worry about those characters, and that world. It will remain untouched.

To rephrase that, DELTARUNE's world is a different one.
With different characters, that have lived different lives.

ah
did toby fox himself compose the music too

I think so

!!/run `Hmm, this doesn't seem quite right.`∷

@AaronMiller .

"∷": ("vy_globals.stack.append(modulo(pop(vy_globals.stack), 2))", 1),
in modulo: (str, Number): lambda: divide(lhs, rhs)[-1],
in divide: (str, Number): lambda: wrap(lhs, len(lhs) // rhs),
my guess is wrapping is returning the whole string for some reason
and so since modulo takes its [-1] it just gets the last char

i think i figured it out:
!!/run `string` 2 /

3:54 PM
@AaronMiller ⟨`str`|`ing`⟩

gets the last element of that ^
but with an odd-length string:
!!/run `stringy` 2 /

@AaronMiller ⟨`str`|`ing`|`y`⟩

it gets the last element of that ^
which is the last character
on strings, is a shortcut for 2%, which is a shortcut for 2/t
