@Dudecoinheringaahing I would add a smiley face reaction but can't, and "lol" seems like useless noise here in chat, so I'm going to type out an unnecessarily long message bemoaning the lack of reactions in Chat.SE because I have no life
@Adám two main differences: one, it doesn't occupy the space of a message and allows multiple people to post the same emoji or multiple emojis to be reacted without taking any more (vertical) space
and secondly, you can't react to a reaction, so you can respond to someone without letting them respond, which sort of alleviates the awkward "who responds last / stops the conversation" thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it's not discord if people aren't going through different nicknames weekly at the least if you know people who share multiple servers with you they probably have different nicknames per server
the funny thing with me and light versus dark mode is i actually use light mode for a lot of things but i still can't bear to look at discord light mode
@UnrelatedString Eh, some things look nicer in dark mode, but most either don't support it or have bad support for it (e.g. Eclipse), so I just go with light all the time
And then there's dark modes where one type of element is yellow or bright red or some horribly unpleasant color or everything's white because they couldn't be bothered with adding any colors
Gotta love it when someone on Reddit tries to use a hashtag but it looks like they're screaming because MD :P
@BrowncatPrograms Where's the fun in easy-to-install software? If you're not compiling it and a hundred dependencies from source, are you even really installing it? :P
I can go through the trouble of downloading it as a .crx, unpacking it, removing the signatures, changing the manifest to not include those signatures or conflict with my existing install, changing the styles there, then repacking it and installing that, but I make occasional changes to the theme and I don't want to have to suffer through that every time

@hyper-neutrino Honestly, given the way US legal stuff is going, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the name of a Supreme Court case heard in 10 years :P
unsurprisingly, there are no UD entries for hyper-neutrino or any similar variant (and "hyper" or "neutrino" is... not really something that would yield interesting results)
