@Wipqozn I mean it probably is, provided Trump can find literally anyone else
The amount of Trump 2020 signs versus Trump | Pence 2020 signs was just hilariously demeaning
Georgia will certify results tomorrow after its recount produced the same Biden win

must get Trump back into the White House to get those dam FBI's off his back

1:07 AM
@TimStone Trump can't make himself immune by quitting and getting a pardon from Pence right?

@TimStone Was just coming here to share this

@Memor-X Technically, I think so. Although that would require him quitting, which seems unlikely. Although I think he has to be found guilty before he can be pardoned?

@TimStone I'm sure he'll pardon himself before he leaves in January, don't worry.

1:55 AM
Speaking of the Trump family, I thought this was a good read

@TimStone I thought I remember reading about this over a month ago

> Though he never remembered my name, he seemed to have a photographic memory for changes in my body. I’ll never forget the time Ivanka and I were having lunch with her brothers at Mar-a-Lago one day, and while Mr. Trump was saying hi, Don Jr. swiped half a grilled cheese sandwich off my plate. Ivanka scolded him, but Mr. Trump chimed in, “Don’t worry. She doesn’t need it. He’s doing her a favor.” Conversely, he’d usually congratulate me if I’d lost weight.

Fauci is on CNN tonight. I know he won't spill any dirt on Trump, but man, I'm hoping

2:29 AM
@TimStone I'm reading that as intentionally trying to hog-tie the incoming administration if Congress manages to pass a stimulus package. So even if a good package passes under Trump, the implementation of it under Biden will look bad. Am I understanding that right?

2:42 AM
Sort of. There are a number of things being used to prop up the economy right now in face of the pandemic, even as bad as the response has been, and now they're trying to shut them down right before the new administration takes over. So it'll definitely throw a wrench in the works

@TimStone Holy shit that's terrible
This is why the GOP is objectively evil. Imagine if Obama tried to sabotage the county on his way out to just make Trump look bad.

Thanks, Obama

It's sociopathic

@Sterno "People running my campaign committed actual crimes, so time for revenge!"

3:09 AM
@TimStone "well known conspiracy theorist " *imagines denying COVID* "tested positive for coronavirus" *imagines if Irony can be part of the conspiracy*

4:30 AM
Still a spineless statement. Grow a pair Romney.

no stop please advance the conservative project through normal means

5:17 AM
who is writing these

5:34 AM
I'm right-handed, but MS has pretty much wiped out the functionality of my right hand. So now I sign my name most often with my left hand. I have kept my voter registration up-to-date online for many years. So, the signature on my ballot looks nothing like the signature on my original voter registration. And that's just me. The GOP could get really squirrely with signature matching.

@Jolenealaska but did you vote for democrat? because if you don't they wouldn't care

Of course I did! :) Not that it did a damn bit of good in Alaska

2 hours later…
8:05 AM
@Jolenealaska oh well then they also don't care because they won
bad signatures only count count if the vote for a democrat and in a state that Trump claims he won but reality says otherwise (which would be very blue state)

3 hours later…
So they need to assassinate him and Harris together?

pretty much
Bottom line is that Harris would become president in a normal world. That's reassuring. Sort of.

11:04 AM
Well, in a normal world Biden would become president. ;-)

I've spent the day catching up on news because I've been otherwise involved for the past week or so. My neck is literally sore from all of the head-shaking I have done in the past 16 or so hours.

1 hour later…
12:31 PM
Georgia hand recount comes out pretty much the same. Wow, good thing those sneaky Dems knew not to use their Dominion vote switching/deleting ploy in Georgia, huh, Trump?

@NapoleonWilson yeah I've been thinking about that. Could Trump just shoot both of them in cold blood, then pardon himself? BAM! VICTORY!
Although I suppose he wouldn't even need to pardon himself since the president can't be arrested, apparently.
lo lTrumps lawyers have even argued in court he should be allowed to straight up murder people while president theguardian.com/us-news/2019/oct/23/…

@Wipqozn Wouldn't be the first time a white supremacist member of the government shoots a PoC

1 hour later…
2:43 PM
lol I'm guessing at some point someone realised "Oh crap he's not going to help us in Georgia because he doesn't give af" so now he's gone too far
Accusing actually dead actual Hugo Chavez of rigging the election probably didn't help

Giuliani's sweating and hair dye running looked creepy, but honestly Jenna Ellis smiling in the background the whole time was worse

Yes

Imagine Biden being president, a vaccine being widely distributed, and Trump being indicted in 2021. What a turnaround year it would be!
Although I don't honestly believe Trump will ever face consequences

No definitely not

When even Tucker Carlson says "Uh... we need some proof, guys."

no he was right the first time

I think they did that a while ago

@Sterno Yeah, though before anyone gives Tucker any credit he was likely just annoyed they didn't give him something to work with and wants them to come back with like, a missing package delivery, or something

Don't worry, I'll never give Tucker any credit

2:58 PM
some rumours floating around that my province is going to be shutting down high schools today, and that elementary will use the emptied high schools to split up their classes to reduce class sizes. Sounds like high school kids will be doing remote learning, and they're actually preparing chromebooks to send home with the high schoolers?
Great if true. Hopefully they start a program that parents who can't afford internet can apply for assistance.

Our district started making kids take Chromebooks home every day (a new thing they've never done before) but promise everyone it has nothing to do with COVID or possible shutdowns. Sure.
Like, literally started doing this on Monday

> As this Powerline blog post shows, that expert confused Minnesota and Michigan. He was counting the population of towns in Minnesota, seeing they did not match Michigan towns, and finding fraud.
lmfao

@Sterno I was going to ask "Why would they deny the obvious reason!?" but then I remembered where you live
I'm assuming your state schools are following Trump admins insane guidelines about denying Covid even exists

I wouldn't go that far. Some counties are closed down right now

It's fairly per district

3:13 PM
To be fair, I assumed schools would be a huge spreader but it looks like the data says they aren't. I'm pretty surprised by that.

I think a lot of districts are just pretending everything is fine

But as overall community rates go up schools having to close anyway, even if they're not a major point of transmission, just due to staff shortages, necessary quarantines, etc

@Sterno we've had some cases in schools now, but so far restaurants seem to be main reason of spread. mostly people who aren't properly self isolating.
which is why I didn't want schools to open. People travel, self isolate, but then everyone else in their household travels. They've now said "no, you ca't do that, that's fucking stupid and makes no sense"... but I suspect people still aren't listening.

I mean, I get restaurants are fucked if they close, but it's so ridiculous that there's some idea that if you wear your mask while walking in and out it's fine, even though you have it off for the meal

@Sterno We've done that here, and the idea is that the table;s are supposed to be socially distanced... in reality, though, a lot of restaurants haven't been doing that.
I think the pub which was one of the exposure poinst was packed.

3:18 PM
Without great ventilation it's hard to imagine how social distances even matters in an indoor area like that with hundreds of people coming and going
Sorry I gave you COVID, Grandma, but I really need to sit in the restaurant while I had that Chili's Big Mouth Burger

@Sterno yeah agreed
in anycase, we were done to 0 cases for a while so it made sense for us. But now we're above 20 again, so tiem to SHUT'ER DOWN.

Must be nice to have a government that actually responds to increases in cases

Well right now it's just rumours, so we'll see what happens in a couple hours when the conference is.

Oh, excuse me, our governor has told restaurants and bars they need to close at 11, since everyone knows the coronavirus only comes out at night

3:39 PM
Coronavirus also can't cross running water

@Sterno Just like Hippos

4:07 PM
Oh good. Now Trump is inviting PA legislators to the White House too

The corruption is right out in the open

4:22 PM
Rudy Giuliani's Large Adult Son has tested positive for COVID now too

@Wipqozn I have the distinct feeling that we're going to takeout/delivery only on Monday for restaurants, closing gyms and rec centers, hair/nail salons, barber shops, etc.
If not province wide, then at least metro Halifax.

4:46 PM
@MBraedley Agreed

High School guy I knew who is on Facebook just posted a meme image of a mom talking to a son that says: "If you keep lying, Billy, you're going to grow up to be a fact checker."
...

It's nice of people to let you know you should not bother reconnecting with them

It must be hard to live in a world where you believe things that have no proof, but believe anyone with proof is lying to you

5:01 PM
Wow, he really dodges flat out saying Trump lost in that statement
while simultaneously telling him to put on his big boy pants

Profiles in Courage™

Yeah, we know, Donald. You're holding the party hostage.
I mean, screw them, but it's nice of you to flat out confirm it

@Jolenealaska That transition from Republican to Democrat coincides with the state becoming less, a lot less, white. See this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…
in Census 1980: Non-Hispanic Whites 66.6%; 2010: 40%

5:39 PM
> But as the Powerline blog first reported, the affidavit made a major mistake. Its data wasn’t actually from Michigan; it was from Minnesota. What’s more, its conclusions about over-votes even in those Minnesota locations aren’t backed up data from the Minnesota secretary of state or from previous elections.

@Memor-X lol, it just has

Why does that work?

Isn't he Canadian?

7:26 PM
Maybe. Irrelevant

@Sterno Here's the article that noticed this issue first, at PowerLineblog, whoever that is:

@Sterno Yeah, maybe only outside the US.

It did work for me, and I'm in the US. I'm just surprised

@Sterno A lot of paywalls for news companies just use cookies, so that' s probably why.

> White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany dismissed reporters who shouted questions at the end of her Friday press briefing by declaring that she doesn’t call on “activists” before walking away from the podium.
Yeah, okay

7:41 PM
@Sterno Try this

7:53 PM
Trump press conference on drug prices, couldn't resist saying again that he won and "you'll see"
Oh, and saying Pfizer delayed the news until after the election because they hate him apparently more than they like money

Just don't allow their vaccine now. That'll show 'em!

8:52 PM
@BradC I 'like' that this site just casually says that voter fraud is common in democrat voting places
> The venues in question are all in red Greater Minnesota, not in the blue urban areas where voter fraud is common
Like uuhmmm

@Elva It's a right wing site
Power Line is an American conservative political blog, founded in May 2002. Its posts were originally written by three lawyers who attended Dartmouth College together, namely John H. Hinderaker, Scott W. Johnson, and Paul Mirengoff. The site is published by Publir LLC, founded by Joseph Malchow, also a Dartmouth graduate. The site gained recognition among the American right for its role in covering the Killian documents story that aired during the 2004 Presidential campaign about forged documents relating to President George W. Bush's term of service in the Texas Air National Guard, which kept...

I didn't realize 'right wing site' automatically means 'blatant disregard for what is factual' :o

> Overall, we rate Power Line strongly right biased based on story selection that always favors the right. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to the use of poor sources that have failed numerous fact checks, as well as rejecting the consensus of science when it comes to climate change.
@Elva In the states, most right wing sites are automatically more or less counterfactual, because the right wing politicians themselves often use hyperbole, veiled language and outright lies to whip up their voter base
Like, there are some right-wing politicians that are honest and well-educated, but in my experience, considering Trump himself spreads fake news even faster than COVID is spread around, right wing politicians who want to stay in his graces generally have no choice but to follow him

@Elva Alternative facts!
