@Randal'Thor Not really familiar with snakes being able to turn into dragons. That might be a variant telling dependent on region and not tied to a specific canon. Especially because I have confirmation there are multiple tellings of that story
The imugi article in Korean I can't translate because it's way too technical, but I applied Google translate on the page (which seemed to do a pretty good job, no wonky sentences) and doesn't seem to add and relevant information.
Most important thing I noticed was that imugis seem to be tied to a specific water sources. They stay submerged in order to like... gain better control of the water? I assuming this is related to the fact that dragons are associated with cloud and rain

Since the Meta tag seems to be used for any kind of change to the existing tags, including synonymization, merging, and just retagging on a specific question, would it make sense to merge the tags and into ?

user185131
Currently, there are 17 Meta questions tagged [retag-request], and only 3 tagged [tag-synonyms] and 1 tagged [retagging].

On, I just noticed that there's too, with 4 questions...

Q: Where did Camus define "the novel as the place where the human being is abandoned to other human beings"?

Ivie> Albert Camus once defined the novel as the place where the human being is abandoned to other human beings. The plague novel is the place where all human beings abandon all other human beings. Unlike other species of apocalyptic fiction, where the enemy can be chemicals or volcanoes or earthquak...

@Brahadeesh In some of your previous suggested edits, I replaced the sup tags, which reduce readability, with list markup etc, but I can't remember reviewing that one.
@Brahadeesh Questions about (supposed) may turn out to provide answers pointing out that certain tags are not actually synonyms but need descriptions that make them easier to distinguish. specifically asks to retag certain questions, while can also be about a retagging that happened in the (recent) past and that appears problematic.

@Tsundoku Your "recent activity" doesn't show either "Edit" or "Approve" against the [login] tag wiki, but there is a revision entry for it, so your memory seems to be accurate — perhaps you edited the wiki entry directly from the tag's info page, instead of reviewing it?

@Brahadeesh Looking at the revision history of the wiki, I see that I edited your suggested edit. So that's the wiki. I didn't touch the excerpt, apparently.

user185131
So it's possible to edit a suggested edit on a tag wiki without reviewing it! When I try editing a question that has a suggested edit on it on Mathematics SE (where I have editing privileges), it opens the review portal on a frame on the same screen, so I have to go through the usual options (Approve, Reject, Improve, etc.)

@Tsundoku Will you help me tomorrow? :D

@Brahadeesh Editing a suggested edit is one of the options you have during a review. You get options such as "approve", "reject", "improve ..." and something else I can't remember.

user185131
You get Approve, Improve Edit, Reject and Edit, Reject, and Skip

10:55 AM
@Knight I have downloaded a PDF version of the novel from Archive.org, so I can start reading tomorrow.

Thanks :)

@Brahadeesh I picked "Improve Edit" while reviewing the suggested edit for then.

user185131
But, as far as I know, clicking on Improve Edit will show up like this in the review (and similarly for Reject and Edit, if I'm not mistaken): literature.meta.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/116

user185131
Your name appears as a reviewer who "Edit"ed, and the Community User takes the role of "unilaterally" approving the edit.

@Brahadeesh That's strange, because I habitually click "Improve Edit" if I want to change something in a suggested edit. So there's either a bug or I accidentally clicked the wrong button.

user185131
11:02 AM
There's no button in the review queue that I know of that fails to log your action, except Skip :) Would you be interested in testing this out with another tag wiki edit?

@Bookworm It's almost as if Lepore read Camus' "les êtres livrés aux êtres" as Sartre's "Hell is other people", which is probably a stretch.
@Brahadeesh OK. What action do you want me to pick?

user185131
Let me suggest an edit to one of the tags, say [tag-synonym], and I'll ping you here. Then tell me what you see when you navigate to the tag's info page? Maybe there's a different option there which is not present in the review queue.

OK.
By the way, I currently have this edit in front of me.

user185131
Ah, yes... Was that an unnecessary edit?

It's fine, but I wouldn't add asterisks in question titles, since Markdown doesn't work there anyway.

user185131
11:10 AM
Ohh alright, sure.

user185131
@Tsundoku I've suggested edits for the wiki and excerpt of . What does its info page look like for you now?

user185131
I've left the sup markup so that you have an obvious improvement to make.

user185131
I see these three buttons:

user185131

The info page looks the same as for everybody else, I think. "There is no usage guidance for this tag … yet!" (etc) and "There is no tag wiki for this tag … yet!" (etc). The review page has the buttons "Approve", "Improve Edit", "Reject and Edit", "Reject", "Delete" and "Skip".

user185131
11:17 AM
Ahh, okay. And you have the same three buttons on the info page as above?

Oh, and the bottom of the info page has the following links: "Edit pending", "Excerpt edit pending", "History" and "Excerpt history". There is no "Edit tag info" button.

user185131
Ohh, great, that might be the difference then. What happens when you click on Edit pending? Are you taken to the corresponding review page?

yes

Yes, that takes me to the same review page as the "review queue" drop-down.

user185131
Ohh.....

user185131
11:20 AM
There's only one other thing that I can think of, which is the order in which the reviews are approved.

user185131
Can you complete the review of the wiki before the excerpt?

user185131
Not that it should make any difference, I'm just guessing here. I can't think of anything now that could cause just the Community User to appear as a reviewer :)

Yes, I can get to the wiki review first, i.e. from the info page.

Probably has to do with the tag wiki and excerpt being linked somehow internally, and the "Improve" made something weird happen
I'd recommend asking on Meta Stack Exchange, though. ;)

user185131
@Mithical Probably! Going through @Tsundoku's other review activity, the reviews have appeared in either order several times, so it really shouldn't matter.

11:25 AM
So I have reviewed the wiki edit ("Improve Edit"). The bottom of the info page now has the following links: "Edit pending", "History", "Excerpt history".

user185131
Last thing, can you try clicking on Excerpt History and seeing if my edit appears there?

user185131
Instead of "Edit pending" -> Review queue, maybe going to the History first will change how things work.

No, it appears only under "History", not under "Excerpt History". I'll review the excerpt edit now.

user185131
Sorry, I didn't follow. Which link appears only under History?

I meant that your edit appears when I go to "History", not when I open the "Excerpt History". (Not "under" in the sense of "below".)

user185131
11:29 AM
Ohh, I see. So clicking on Excerpt History only shows the blank excerpt created by Community?

Yes, that's exactly what it does.

user185131
Got it. Thanks for playing around with this @Tsundoku. I guess I should post on Meta SE as Mithical says :)

user185131
2:43 PM
I posted a [support] question on Meta SE, but it got knocked down as a duplicate fairly quickly: Why is the Community User the sole approver of this tag wiki suggested edit?

user185131
I think it's an improper closure — Mithical already commented there — but I suppose it's now up to the Meta users if there's enough interest in it.

@Brahadeesh That explains the upvotes.
I now have more rep on Lit SE than on Language Learning SE.
