In my complicated assessment with many very scientifically measured things I have determined that it will be very difficult for the democrat to avoid winning the general
there are many states that could flip and have Biden polling slightly above Trump
RCP poll averages have Biden up 3.8 & 4.8 points in PA and MI, respectively
AZ and NC also have Biden up by similar amounts
WI is a tie
With just 2016's map but winning any combination of three of those (except AZ + NC + WI, which is 269) the Democrat wins by a few electoral votes
so maybe not extremely hard, but there are a lot of winning combinations that could reasonably happen
Florida polls just slightly for Trump and if the Democrat wins Florida along with one other of those 5 states it is a win
And if they somehow won Texas but it were otherwise the 2016 map it would be a win by 1 vote (extremely unlikely that Texas would be won without it being a landslide in other states)
All of this is assuming that (historical) swing states like NV, CO, ME, and NH are won again

@Unionhawk problem is that alot of the advice is to look out/avoid people with flu like symptoms. for a system that's not even keeping up with COVID-19 just imagine how things will go when you have to deal with people with Bird Flu symptoms thinking it's COVID-19

like from what i learned during AI in University is that alot of trading is done by AI's who can make snap decisions and when they get it wrong, it can trigger a cascade
if the economy doesn't exist, you can't have bad economic numbers
@Memor-X someone was telling me that a lot of the reason the stocks go up and down so quickly during the day is that if one AI sells or buys a lot, a bunch of other ones do the same thing
@Stormblessed yeh. perfect example of this can be seen in Spice and Wolf when Lawrence has that bet with that kid who's fallen for Holo and want to "buy her freedom" (it was a joke from Holo). when Lawrence and Holo sell some metal (i think) it triggers everyone else to sell. then you get that in a split second because AI's work insanely more faster than a human (and a wise wolf god)

I think we're just reaching the point where not doing anything is untenable, any given person (voter) will likely know multiple people impacted negatively. So it's either expand social programs or give people money, I guess

Which is wild, considering how poorly handled the situation is in the US. But our economies are so intertwined, I'm sure that's why.

Sounds like they'll be greeting all canadians coming home with guidance that they should self isolate, along with some information on how to go about that, and resources they'll have available to them. This includes financial support.
They'll all need to sign that they've received this information too before they've left the airport.
@RedRiderX well, you can't avoid buying food. I'm mostly just trying to keep a bit of distance in lines, and avoid touching my face while outside, and wash my hands immediately when returning home
I don't think we know much yet, as far as I understand some limited immunity is very like in any case, but it is unclear how long it lasts. I've no idea of whether this kind of virus mutates enough to make it difficult like influenza
@MadScientist @Wipqozn To chip in what you probably already know, coronavirus is an RNA virus, the family of which are more prone to mutation than DNA viruses.
@puzzlepiece87 as far as I remember Influenza has some special features that lead to the many different strains and no global immunity against it, high mutation rate isn't enough
