Let's be honest. The reason most people use O instead of Θ is because one of them is unicode. — Oscar Smith yesterday

Good Morning

9:37 AM
aye, aye. Lost 1 hour today trying to restore my passwords in Firefox after an update and an OS reboot.

@PaulWhitesaysGoFundMonica Gosh - imagine if you started doing that then realised three quarters of the way through you hadn't left enough space!

And I still missed my cookies (or whatever TA uses to identify me). @JackDouglas are you there?

Oh I got a hat

10:07 AM
and a communist one!

10:57 AM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ why comunist? Is there a post with the secret hats?

Q: This star on the Warm Welcome hat looks like a communist symbol

emixI've just earned the "Warm Welcome hat" and the red star on it looks like a communist symbol. I associate this symbol on this particular hat closely with many atrocities against my country: Poland, as well as Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and many others from inside the Iron Curtain. I h...

Can Stack Exchange be more mindful of the symbols used when it's just about fun?
It has been changed by a heart!!

I see, hadn't noticed.

on soviet stackexchange, hat wears you

@PeterVandivier we must all share the same hat

from each according to his warmth to each according to his head size

and nobody could win more hats than the others, (unless the members of the Polit Bureau)

the Politbureau don't "own" the hats, they "hold them in trust" for the people

12:00 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ Looks more like this one amazon.co.uk/RUSSIAN-TRAPPER-SOVIET-USHANKA-COSSACK/dp/…

@TomV-TeamMonica yep

I even got a second hat without trying

Anyone in here live in Americaland & is looking forward to Star Trek Picard?
And also like wine?

12:33 PM
@Philᵀᴹ I see it will be in Amazon prime, right?

I was thinking to change Netflix by Amazon prime just to see it.

Wait for the series to be completed, get a free 1-month Amazon prime subscription and watch it.
Don't forget to stop the subscription before the month ends . ;)

Lovely heart
Matches my chilli

@ypercubeᵀᴹ yes, it's an option

12:51 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ i only just realized the "ᵀᴹ" in your name is two characters and not the "™️" character

1:01 PM
yeah, I don't remember why. the TM character wasn't playing nicely somewhere.

1:35 PM
I think at some point the ™️ became banned in nicknames

2:30 PM
we now have sock puppet impersonators ;)

@ypercubeᵀᴹ Thought it was funny :)

i thought you had hacked my account ;)

I suppose I should have copied the avatar as well
Lucky the T and M were separate characters or it might be a trademark infringement
I can reset the user name to the default if you prefer

No, I don't mind.
It was kind of funny

@ypercubeᵀᴹ answer is in the new user queue. Should I flag?

With the userpic it could almost alarm you into thinking 'cube was suspended. Of course, the lack of badges would give it away immediately without you needing to open the profile to check.

It would be easier to just suspend him

Indeed

3:21 PM
@Johnakahot2use up vote it for a free hat

Any of y'all have unit tests for your SSRS reports? This project's take many hours to tun them all, looking for some way to speed it up.
That's TeamCity, running all the various reports in various configurations and categories. No idea yet where most of the time is spent between setting up the data, running the report, exporting to something and comparing it to expected results.
Looks like a total of about 3500 report runs, so maybe that's not too bad

@TomV-TeamMonica da Ruski hat. Alreadi haz.

that interface looks new and flashy - how can you get that, but still be using ssrs?

5:11 PM
@James That's TeamCity - I'm still learning this project. So every report has test cases. Probably in a NAnt script that runs C# Gallio tests that set up the data, run the report, export it to CSV and then compare the CSV outputs to known good outputs.
It's going to take me a while to grok it all
I'm supposed to be using up my vacation, but I can't stop digging into this system.
The problem is, I fixed something that requires all the report tests to run before the next step... Guess I should have disabled them.

@CadeRoux damn, teamcity looks pretty nifty. do you like it? We have 1,600 SSIS packages and 2,000 IBM datastage packages, and I don't really like either lol

@James TeamCity is for automating builds and deploys, although I guess Octopus deploy is better at deploys. No reason you couldn't use it for production scheduling, but that's not its thing - it's focused around builds dependent on other builds.
A given build step could be a PowerShell script, or a NAnt build against a .build file or whatever. It could be triggered by a VCS change in Git or something else, and other tasks can be dependent on the artifacts so that they will be rebuilt (or new tests run).
