@AJ Great cricketer. Terrible bloke.
335 not nout

8:00 AM
Good morning all
I have got a brilliant idea, I just want to check if you guys know where best to start
I want to create a open data database for database schemas
how cool does that sound

A J
@PaulWhitesaysGoFundMonica How come?

@AJ Well there was the cheating...but just in general he's not a great role model

A J
ohh

no ? :/

A J
sorry. I only know about MySQL.
and I didn't get you.
There are too many "data"s

8:17 AM
hmm...
well I want to make a database of database schemas
let say we have a table with following records...

DatabaseSchemaTable : SchemaId, SchemaName
TablesTable: TableName, TableColumns, SchemaId

// then some more tables to define how tablestable's record to have relationships to each other

SchemaTable
1 CustomerPortal ERD
2 ShipyardSystem Portal ERD

TablesTable

SchemaId : 1, TableName: User, Columns:....
etc..

A: Which users gained the most reputation by the "Rewarding the Question Askers" change?

GlorfindelHere is a SEDE query to find this out. On Stack Overflow, some users managed to gain more than 100,000 reputation (left). On other sites, the numbers are lower: here on Meta the record is 33k (middle), and the highest non-Stack Overflow example I could find was 41k on Science Fiction & Fantasy (r...

9:26 AM
@PaulWhitesaysGoFundMonica spot on,... but I already knew this
what I want to do is to convert all erds into a database
ERD database...

1 hour later…
10:40 AM
@Mathematics sounds really awesome.
If only because you'll have a self-referencing ERD ;)

Yo dawg I heard you like databases so I put databases in a database

11:05 AM
@TomV-TeamMonica heh, funny but a library of schemas sounds nice.
Depends what meta-metadata you store but SELECT * FROM schemas WHERE property = 'inheritance' ; would be nice

12:07 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ exactly
@ypercubeᵀᴹ I am thinking about whether it should be a relation sql based database or like most open source databases I use no sql
I am seeing it as a relational graph type database
I am going with no SQL db

12:54 PM
@Mathematics that's news. Most open source use nosql? You are joking, right?

1:17 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ I wasn't making fun of the concept. It was just a long time ago I was able to use that meme

2 hours later…
3:31 PM
@TomV-TeamMonica ...so that you can have a database while you have a database

2 hours later…
5:22 PM
@ypercubeᵀᴹ let say ones I interacted with so far.. openstreetmaps
openfoodfacts
for this concept what would be best, I still need to pick up pen and paper and start drawing the schema lol

2 hours later…
7:48 PM
Found something interesting...
