@Trish This is not only limited to the cantilever design, many portal printers have a single Z-axis drive and exhibit the same problems.
@Nach0z How did you manage to do that?
@Nach0z If you put a screwdriver or anything metal under it the LED should light up

@0scar yes and no - ender-style hs a mix. it is more rigid than Cantilever as it has no flex in Y and the Z flex is much limited.

@Trish Yes more rigid, but still similar problems

@0scar not exactly the same, but I adressed it.
in other news, I had ordered red filament... I got red one... red transparent one... welp... the thing I made still looks great as kind of a ruby look.
@Nach0z capricorn tubing need, afaik, a little wider bending radii, but it is on the high quality side.

@Nach0z Haven't used it, but it is pretty expensive and supposedly has a higher temperature resistance. Let us know if you bought and tested it.
@Trish Perfect! +1
@Greenonline @StarWind0 Please look at 3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/10474/…, consider a fifth vote. This is an exact duplicate.

@0scar the burned out stepper drivers were on my old printer, which was made from a bunch of fleabay knockoffs, and I burned out several sets of drivers on that thing over time. Not surprised at all that the ones that were on it when it caught fire & died two years back
.... & died two years back were destroyed as well
@0scar I got an all metal Microswiss hotend so hopefully temperature resistance won't be as much of a concern, I just wanted to get some for bowden usage since I'm trying to keep the gantry on my hypercube as light as possible, CF tubes and everything. Last time I used a bowden printer, my retraction settings were measured in miles and that was immensely frustrating
@trish thanks for the info, I'll keep that in mind and make sure it's got plenty of room to curve

@0scar done the retraction addiotion
