Q: How did Gandalf chase the Balrog to Zirakzigil?

HashimIn The Return of the King movie adaptation, when Gandalf the White rejoins with the Fellowship, he explains that he fell "through fire and water, from the lowest dungeon to the highest peak". It's not hard to imagine how he got to the "lowest dungeon" after tumbling through the depths of Khazad-...

Q: What happened to Neville on his first broom flight?

LevenTrekIn The Sorcerer's Stone, during the first broom-flying class for the first-years, Neville's broom takes him on a wild ride. At first, Madame Hooch seems prepared for this, and points her wand at Neville (presumably to take control and help him back to ground). But she has to jump out of the way ...

Q: 1940s or 50s or 60s Sci-Fi book Series

Kirk AndersonI don't remember much from this one, I think some professor type character builds a spaceship and takes a group to (I think) Mars where they possibly meet another civilisation. They may do some flying on Mars with gliders or something. One scene I remember clearly is that they're heading out in ...

Whoa.
Harry Potter stuff. You know how Rabastan and Rodolphus Lestrange were broken out of Azkaban after the Dark Lord's return, but they weren't in the Battle of Hogwarts, and we don't know what happened to them: scifi.stackexchange.com/q/191323/4918
Rabastan and Rodolphus Lestrange were among the four death-eaters who tortured Neville's parents.
Now in Hallows chapter 29, Neville tells the trio about how someone was sent after her grandmother Augusta Longbottom, but the Death Eaters were no match for her. It was still a partial success for the Death Eaters, because after that, both Augusta and Neville had to go into hiding, fearing a stronger attack.
But until today, I assumed that they sent only one Death Eater after Augusta.
But what Neville says is ambiguous. I think it's possible that Rodolphus and Rabastan were sent to “finish the job they started” and attack Augusta, together with Dawlish for some reason. That means Augusta Longbottom fought off three Death Eaters all on her own.
The text is ambiguous, it's possible that only Dawlish attacked her, but this way sounds much cooler.
That could even be part of the motivation for why Narcissa eventually betrayed the Dark Lord.

Q: How many force users used two double-bladed lightsabers?

BooleanAs seen in the Darkness on Umbara episode ark of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we see Pong Krell weld two double-bladed lightsabers. It can be said without doubt that having this many lightsabers is rare. But which other force users are known to have used two double-bladed lightsabers?

Q: How come having a Deathly Hallow is not a big deal?

Mor ZamirHarry has the invisibility cloak, one of the three most powerful objects in the wizarding world. With time, more and more people learn the fact that Harry has it, however, nobody really cares. Shouldn't that be a big deal? The Death Eaters went so far for the Elder Wand, did none of them know t...

So, I hope I gave good advice at scifi.stackexchange.com/a/215276/23243. Partial answers are good. Partial answers with details are bad, particularly when written in a conversational "well, it could be one of these things" style.

Q: How often are Quidditch games won because of the Snitch being caught?

LevenTrekMost of the Quidditch games we see in the Harry Potter movies end with someone catching the Snitch (and winning). How often do Quidditch games end without the Snitch being caught? (I don't expect an exact percentage - but does the Snitch matter as often as it seems from the movies? or is it les...

Q: Name of movie which contained a body-swapping kiss?

SamuelI'm trying to remember the name of an american movie I saw a long time ago (25 years or more) which featured a young couple and a kiss they shared: for some reason, possibly the kiss, the young lady from this couple had her 'soul' transported into an elderly male who then proceeds to try and conv...

Q: Why don't Rogue One and Solo have opening crawls?

Rand al'ThorThe opening crawl is one of the most distinctive feature of Star Wars films. But only the numbered episodes have it, not Rogue One or Solo which are also part of the Star Wars franchise. Why is this?

Hey, @Randal'Thor finally saw a Star Wars movie!

What would make you think so?

Hi, @NapoleonWilson
Well he asked a question which he would most likely not have if he hadn't seen the movie
