<rant>okay, how the duck is it a spoiler that someone is scared during a war with ice zombies? movies.stackexchange.com/q/99921/63559 </tant>

Fuck, the word is fuck. And yes, the internet is going to shit over spoilers that, well, aren't fucking spoilers.

You know I'm doing that on purpose right, the duck thing :P

10:20 AM
I do. But sometimes ya gotta put your words where your feelings are. ;-)

10:37 AM
True. ;)

Ok asking here.
Could this question be on topic: Could Scarlet Witch kill Thanos?
I want to add some reasoning also
about Thanos' allies and his armor etc

Oi, we're borrowing the Spoiler Room to determine if a question is on-topic for SFF. 'cause over at SFF there's no spoiler room :D

he ordered the ship to attack to survive Scarlett's attack
but it is not clear if she could kill Thanos
could his armor stand long enough? and why his allies didn't come to help when he is struggling
I can add these details

strictly speaking in EG, it's possible this might answer your question aif you haven't read it scifi.stackexchange.com/a/211491/98028
(to quote TLC's poetry, she's "pretty much literally tearing him a new one")

hm it is a bit different and doesn't exactly answer. but i'm not sure if there can be an answer also. someone can add details
she is tearing him apart but his armor somehow saves him
why can't she attack his head for example?
but we don't know the details of the armor as well
by the way, this is MCU only. Because Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful character in the whole Marvel Universe

Hmmm, possibly she couldn't aim as she wanted, it was a messy battlefield

8:07 PM
I feel like asking some good questions but can't be sure if on-topic most of the time

So the question would be "MCU-Wise, can Wanda thrash Thanos"?

because questions with same nature are treated differently a lot
if I say "Can", it is more general. If I say "Could" implying their last fight, it is more like a spoiler I think

Yeah, SFF isn't always quite sure what's POB and what's not :-)
I think a "MCU-Wise, could Wanda have beaten Thanos" would be on-topic (characters are from the same universe; it's not exactly a gorilla vs shark situation), but I also think it might be redirected as dupe of the one I linked earlier.
Have you considered not limiting that to Scarlet Witch, and making it more of a question about Thanos' armor?

like how strong is his armor?

@ermanen if you have a doubt, you can always ask on chat or on Meta. It's a pity we don't have a sandbox, but there'll always be people trying to provide feedback to make it a good fit for the site :)

8:15 PM
yea it is why we came here
didn't wanna give a spoiler on scifi channel
we need more opinions :D

poke @AnkitSharma
get out of M&TV a bit :P

I mean we would never know if she could kill him. But she could kill him if the ship attack didn't stop her
and she could easily kill if he didn't have an armor

@ermanen maybe something about, say, does Thanos' armor have a special resistance, because it seemed to shield him very well against different powers, such as Stormbreaker and Wanda's magic.
Thanos himself is quite resistant but you seem to remember that it was the armor that dealt with Wanda's damage (I don't remember that tbh, but I trust you)

MCU wise, it is not explained. but it can be answered based on the comics
yea she was tearing apart the armor. but Thanos' head was open in the air also. Somehow the armor resists psionic and perhaps magic attacks.

MCU-wise, it's not explained thoroughly in the movies, but there might be something in interviews of novelizations. Valorum is known to find unexpected quotes in the junior novelizations
@NapoleonWilson if you're around, any input?

8:26 PM
@Jenayah o_O

@NapoleonWilson :D
no sandbox, no spoiler room... We're underequipped ;)

Why didn't you just create one?

...

Take your logic and get out

Because I never created a room, so it didn't cross my mind? :D

8:29 PM
This is not a place of logic
This is a place of spoilers

Well said!
But for those wondering, yeah, I do feel stupid. xD

It happens to everyone
Also, I think Wanda wanted to make Thanos suffer, didnt she?
Thats why she didnt just kill him

Good point. Hence why she might not go for the head straight away

She went full force. She was aiming the head but he was deflecting with the arm part of the armor
and she started tearing him apart. if the whole armor was destroyed, I think she could kill him
she could chop his head off also :D but the armor helped probably

I watched the movie Saturday, so my memory is hazy, but I suppose she mentioned something about how he took everything from her and he is like "I dont even know you"
Which, looking back, its not like Wanda knew that was an alternate timeline thanos
So she went full force against someone who, afaik, had nothing to do with her
Which is kinda funny when you think about it
And after all, they saved at least two universes
Their own and the one that Thanos 2nd came from

8:38 PM
Well... known or not the guy was trying to kill them, so...

@Jenayah Not kill, disappear
But anyway
It just shows how Thanos was simpleminded
"I will rebuild the universe with half the people"
DO AN UNIVERSE WITH DOUBLE THE SIZE YOU MORON

if only the Wanda from Comics was in MCU, then then the movie would be 5 minutes
:D

true, but it wouldn't be as enjoyable, would it :-)

she could be restrained technically, and she could come at the end of the movie
like Captain Marvel
then change the whole universe
ok I'll get food. maybe we can find an on-topic question later

@ermanen enjoy your meal!
Uh, right, it should be time to go to bed by now
