Hi & Happy New Year @Monomeeth & to all!

It seems like there's a perms request missing from the app plist - ref developer.apple.com/documentation/avfoundation/… which we should be able to fix in the next version. In the meantime, launching the app from an Applescript/shell script 'combo' applet triggers the request for the applet, which then serves as a wrapper to our app, so we have functionality for now.

Hats were definitely harder to gain in general this year but Monomeeth's lead is very impressive! I fixed overlapping lines in the graph for the first time this year based on who got to the hat number first, let me know if you spot any errors. @Glorfindel congrats on your 9th place SE-wide, I graphed the SE-wide leaderboard this year, do you think anyone would be interested and if/where I could share it?

@grg Thanks for pulling all this together! You're definitely right, hats were harder to earn this year. From memory the top 5 or 6 last year all earned more hats than I did this year. I think I was lucky to get to 16 - based on your graph I earned 4 hats in one day (the 19th) - so I guess that made all the difference. I checked my rep history and earned 225 rep that day, so I was just a little lucky.

@bmike It’s custom code I wrote parsing the leaderboard page every 24h and recording the result in a table, then this year I added some code to adjust the figures for overlap as above, which gives a CSV to put in Numbers for the graph

@Monomeeth Absolutely right, lots more hats all round last year (last year’s graph). You made a nice jump with the 4 in one day and couldn’t be caught after that! Well done
