@TheLittleNaruto some purposely want to degrade our ancient sages..... the more they do, they accumlate sins.... whatever anyone says, Truth remains truth unaffected!
@KrishnaShweta Past life Karmas alone not running = yes but at same time the knowledge you grasp with senses gets stored in mind as Karma, the worldly impressions. This Karma will not allow you to think to next level.... and keep you stuck in a circle... But once you break the circle, automatically you are connected to limitless possibilities and infinite intellegence

Lord Kartikeya = known as Muruga also has another name 6 mugan. He is the primary deity of 6 chakras in our body.... That is why his mantra also has 6 letters.. SA, RA, VA, NA, BA, VA... In English for correct sounds, we need to use two. But our Indian language its just 6
For the Chakras to function, we need to get rid of blockages in our body.... Karmic impressions for many births before, also toxins in throat, upper palate tongue, head etc.. For this toxins to get flush out, we need 9 Vayus in our body to fully get centered...- This is basic of keeping body healthy as per Siddha tradition...

Does anyone here believe we have our first birth in this planet? Dont say there is neither birth nor death everything is Maya - this statement is applicable only for self realized souls. Since we are still bound to Maya, we should have our first birth.
@AkshayKumarS I agree. But do you believe that Bhaskaracharya could have developed such solution ?
@AkshayKumarS I know only this life so I can say yes it's my first life.
@AkshayKumarS Interesting
02:45
@Hinduismbot I'm unclear what is the question here.
Upon enlightenment say how many births u took :P
@AkshayKumarS It is hard to say. I think this is not my first birth . It might be something else higher or lower.

@NogShine I am not asking whether this your first birth.... Is there a first birth for us on this planet??? We have taken many births... What forced us to come here
@TheLittleNaruto It may be true but since I dont know about that methodology I cant comment on it because even in Siddha tradition there are ways to communicate with animals....
@AkshayKumarS Our Karma in previous births.
@NogShine So what is where is our first birth?

Q: Are the symptoms of 4 yugas visible on higher planetary systems?

RaRaWe know the symptoms of each of the 4 yugas and pillars of religion(truthfulness, mercy, austerity and charity) reduce with each passing yuga. Are these symptoms to be seen only on earth or even in other planetary systems?

Q: During which period Vishnu incarnated as Matsya to save vedas?

Akshay Kumar SLord Vishnu took matsya avatar during the end of 6th Manu and saved Vaivaswata from pralaya. But there's also a story of Vishnu taking Matsya avatar to save vedas. When did that happen? Is there a huge timeline difference between the two avatars?

@Hinduismbot I guessed someone to dowvote this question due to the word it has. My guess didn't go wrong.
Let's speak of fair voting now!!
07:13
@NogShine That's why I upvoted.....
@AkshayKumarS Please don't upvote just to balance a downvote. That can be dangerous. Upvote based on the question only.
Apr 7 at 9:00, by Nog Shine
Remember that one downvote gives -2 but a vote to nullify it gives a rep of +5 or +10. So, we are giving a reputaton which the post doesn't deserve really. Rep gives privileges and one who has less knowledge about how site works get access to privileges and participate in reviews which will effect the functioning of the site,
@NogShine let it be dangerous... some bias voting is happening !
This is not about current question. But voting in general.
@AkshayKumarS Upvoting off-topic and POB questions will give rise to free reputation which results in a thought that users closed out of revenge or something. Hence that users think such questions are ok. They become reviewers. Bad reviews and bad reviews for a constant makes it a tradition. That becomes a policy. Site will go downwards.
Scary!!
I don't see any question here. It would be helpful if there is someone who can help what is there to upvote.
This also prevents auto delete feature from deleting of off-topic and closed questions.

Q: Which scripture is Devdutt Patnaik referring to when he says "Yagna is not a contract. Devata has no obligation"

VineetAt times while I prepare a new question, need to abandon the asking of that Q. Surprisingly, there is no option such as 'cancel' button. I need to go back to earlier page or click a different link. I know this may not be a very serious issue, still it would be better to have a cancel option.

@NogShine excellent... From tomorrow I am going to throw in questions like choosing a random author and ask which one he is refering to and which one he is not refering to etc...
@AkshayKumarS Dear, I only wrote it because I was listening to Gurvashtakam and we often talk about Beta stats. Not exactly about questions we received today. It is just a gentle reminder of keeping quality in the site. That's it. We wrote some stories like that in the past.

Svetaketu the son of Uddalka Aruni went to the sage Upamanyu and asked him 'In the days of Yore Bhava of immeasurable splendor provided you the power to see present,
past and future. I want to know what is happening in this age characterized by the darkness.' To this Upamanyu replied 'Dharma is in the lowest level there in the
present time. Mahavishnu should soon take the incarnation of Kalki to preserve the Sanatana Dharma. The world has been engulfed by the Mleccha Dharma.' Svetaketu again

@NogShine I like how you copy pasted this 3 times there: "What is the use?"
@TheLittleNaruto It is not copy paste. The Sanskrit is "Tatah Kim" it appears four times.
@NogShine But you shouldn't have written it 4 times. It's waste of time.
Anyway take that as a joke. No offence!

@NogShine haha...
@NogShine you are so nice.... how much ever targetted, you are as you are.... This is called Jivan mukta :P
Kinnars and Hijras are different words for the same people. This is not the same as kinnaras who are celestial beings.
@AkshayKumarS Haha. This is not targeting. Mods might have thought Kinnaras a class of celestial beings. Let's wait.
For the social group or caste amongst the Sinhalese of Sri Lanka, see KinnarayaIn Hindu mythology, a kinnara is a paradigmatic lover, a celestial musician, half-human and half-horse (India). In South-east Asia, two of the most beloved mythological characters are the benevolent half-human, half-bird creatures known as the Kinnara and Kinnari, which are believed to come from the Himalayas and often watch over the well-being of humans in times of trouble or danger. Their character is clarified in the Adi parva of the Mahabharata, where they say: We are everlasting lover and beloved. We never separate...

Q: Do pickles contain onion or garlic?

Tiger ShroffSrila Prabhupada says Lord Sri Krishna does not accept onion and garlic food which is offered to Him. So I want to know if pickles in general contain onion or garlic.

@Hinduismbot Pickles.. yummm
Am I on Seasoned Advice ?
@NogShine OMG..... this is Hinduism site or what?????
@AkshayKumarS Yes
@NogShine Tomorrow am gonna ask what hinduism says about Sambar rice
@Sarvabhouma - I mentioned how a Hindu saint prohibits onion and garlic. Also, pickles are a common food item many Indians (who are mostly hindus). This question seems to be suitable here to me. – Tiger Shroff 1 min ago
yesterday, by Nog Shine
@Pandya I have found out a way to ask 100+ questions starting from today. I will put "What does Hinduism say about " and asks about Horse riding, gravity, cooking laddus, (100 variant dishes with this topic), talking with swans (like Nala and Damayant did in Mahabharat). I learned today that it is very much inside the scope of our site.
Someone took it literally.
15:44
@NogShine Am literally rolling on ground and laughing
@AkshayKumarS Changing if Krishna accepts it or not wouldn't change. Because the OP knows it already. Indians know Mathematics also. But we don't answer that. Also, this site is not India limited. That would create some difference.
@NogShine :(( I dont know what to say
16:08
@Hinduismbot author removed it!
Better to ask on cooking site. It is graduated and more active users
> According to Hindu scriptures, do pickles contain onion and garlic? Is it recommended to add them?
@NogShine slowly we'll be getting questions on everything with word what Hinduism says about this...
@AkshayKumarS Yes, that is what I wrote in my meta answer. Reason is many new users not aware of faq and off-topic. They don't read it. On-topic page is also incomplete.
Another reason is some come from forums and sites like Quora which accepts all under only one site. Which is not the model of SE.
@NogShine Someone might say that is on-topic too and cast their votes.
@NogShine Anyhow we'll see this tomorrow... Time for bed... you too sleep
@AkshayKumarS Good night!
16:19
@NogShine You too sleep on time and start your sadhana... Dont get trapped in Maya of debates of scriptures... each one will have their own interpretations... This life is a gift from our Paramatma.... So dont waste it and ensure that you dont again return to Earth!

Q: Who is this Persian-looking man in the Samudra Manthan?

user5011In multiple portrayals of the Samudra Manthan, a man is seen in the waters, pulling from neither side. His dressing style makes him look like a Persian. Who is this?

@AkshayKumarS Sure, Thanks for the advise. I am always away from the debates on the scriptures. The truth doesn't change if we name it the other. The supreme power is the same.
