@Holo It might converge for bases that we otherwise couldn't manage.
@user21820 :P not yet

2 hours later…
9:00 PM
@Mithrandir Did you get a new hairstyle? You look, well, transformed! $\left(\ddot\smile\right)$.

I did in fact
it is a cropped version of this image:

@Mithrandir Looks good on you!!

which was custom drawn by avazula, based on my previous avatar and conversations in Interpersonal Skills chat
@amWhy :D

Wow! That's awesome!

It is *nods emphatically*

@Mithrandir Interesting room (IPS). I just checked out a few questions and answers. Is there a good chatroom for the room that you like, in particular?

The Awkward Silence in the main room, where I usually hang out

@Mithrandir I like the chat's name. Maybe I'll check it out!

9:50 PM
@XanderHenderson You 'round?

kind of...?
why?

@XanderHenderson Oh, no big deal. I just want to apologize for spending too much time recently in the review queues. I mean, seeing other users dominating them made me realize I'm probably guilty to some extent, myself. I've spent most of my time the past 2 and a half years just working with the close queue, 'cause it never empties. I'll continue that. But I don't want to "compete" in the other queues. I'd prefer to let others sincerely interested in the queues earn badges, and such. So

Meh. Like I keep saying, gamification is evil.

I just want to apologize if I've fallen back into a "gaming mode" in the review queues.

I'll get my "Late Answers" gold badge in a year or two.
Or I won't.
No biggie, either way.
Anywho, you are not the one sucking all their air out of the room.

9:57 PM
@XanderHenderson You're doing better than I was... for years. I've been here 7.5 years, and it took me until last month to finally dig my heals in to get my gold in Late answers. You're doing it in the best way... slowly but surely!

But I think that you and I see these things very similarly, so if you catch a review item, I have confidence that it will be dealt with in a way that is consistent with what I see as the "right" way. ;)
So... it turns out that the Cantor set really is $\log(2)/\log(3)$-dimensional.
(for basically any meaningful notion of dimension that you can come up with, but specifically in the sense of "local" complex dimensions)
yay

@XanderHenderson Pretty much! Which us sort of sad, no?

@amWhy Yeah. There is someone who may need help with some kind of addiction
no one should need that much dopamine.

@XanderHenderson Indeed!!

Ugh... I was going to get some grading done today.
I haven't yet. :\
I hate grading.
