A: Sandbox for Proposed Questions

Incognitowhat factors would determine the evolution of chaos spawn? In this world there are certain areas that are heavily radiated with energy that seeps in from another realm. In these places, evil creatures are born from out of nothing called chaos spawn. They begin life as small, immobile blobs of fl...

Can anyone Story-go-round? Not saying I'm necessarily going to, that would depend on whether the story grabs me, but I'm certainly not putting in the reading to get caught up if it's a closed project.

Pavel JanicekHow to convert people to your side in post-apocalypse settings? My backstory goes like this: Russians develop deadly virus which kills you if you are not a Russian. They decided to release it in USA to solve the cold war once for all. However, something went wrong. First of all, the virus insta...

@Ash Yes, anyone can.
If you'd read the rules, you'd have found that out :)

@Hosch250 The rules on the Meta post about it only include current collaborators they don't say whether one can join the team.

Did someone say 'quantum'?

@Aify :(
@James ^
@Mithrandir24601 It started with Aify said he was considering leaving, and someone said "don't go, or if you do, stay".
@Hosch250 ah...
Then there was a joke about a sort of Schrodinger's Aify, and it was decided to post on the chatroom if he left.
That was him just announcing he's gone.
@Hosch250 oh noes! :(
And James said he would, so that's the reason for the ping.

Q: How to deal with "Scrooge McDuck's" in my fixed-currency-amount game?

CharanorI'm currently working on a very small scale mmo game planned to support approximately 100 players per server, but we're having trouble with our economical model. For various reasons we have decided to go with a fixed-currency-amount system; meaning that there are only a certain number of "gold" ...

Interesting question.
Now, what if their game gets super hot?
And the average item costs 1 coin (probably costs more).
And they have more than 9k players on at once.
Suddenly not everyone can even have one coind.
If it were me, I'd figure out what a normal player should have on average (say, 5-10 coins), then multiply that by how many were online at any given time.
So what's available in the bank goes up and down as people join/leave the game.
Or maybe even give the bank infinite money.
Because the logistics of the game ensures that only a reasonable amount remains in play at any given moment anyway.
At some point, all the artifacts will be in play, and any other money will be worth nothing.
OTOH, that maybe makes artifacts too readily available.

@Aify NOOO NOO noooo stay!
Why???!!!!!
21:49
Is . . . is there anything we can do to make you stay?
If you tell us why, then maybe once the problem is resolved, whether it's a site scope struggle or something, we can ping you when it's safe again?
I'm grasping at straws here. Someone help me out!
