@sphennings No, I'm taking links from posts Smokey has detected, and using those links to find posts that contain those links. Other people are also working on getting those links taken down for spamming in the first place.
@Mithrandir So you're using the spammy links detected here to identify spammy posts on medium because they're linking to the same content. That's really cool.
@Mithrandir If they use smoke detector data then it's trivial for medium to auto detect posts with those links. I was talking about writing a script to do the work of compiling a list of spammy medium posts, instead of doing it manually.
Possibly. I do run bots in the terminal occasionally... like this morning, when I spun up a backup instance of the IPS Comment Bot since the main instance died
