I think the problem is more that SE probably signs up on these services like a user, and there's really no good "flow" for gifting 20 games as a user

if they had the time and energy to get set up with every downloadable retailer on whatever system bigger corps. use to give away many copies of games, they might have an easier time. I don't think that's a really tractable problem though

20's kind of a weird number to give away, y'know? humble bundle's selling hundreds of thousands of copies of steam games, and the average user gives away far fewer games per-month

and I'm certain CHAOS wants to invest the smallest amount of effort possible for the greatest return

Anyone know if the grant reimbursement has worked for physical receipts for physical copies of the game in the past? I always like buying my boxed copy of games but I don't want to wait 2 weeks AFTER d3 is released to play (e.g. ordering from Amazon)

Believe it or not, I used to play D2 when it first came out. But I didn't really get into it that much. With the resurgence of questions, I'm learning much more about how the game was put together. Even as I answer questions, I'm learning more to expand the answer.

Hence my wall of text for the charm question.

And @Origami, while the above point may be true, there are still people who may have not played the game and are now interested in it because of D3's release. People who haven't followed the game before may not know about good website resources or have the ability to parse good from bad information on a forum thread. The amount of information about D2 can be very overwhelming, so if users are using our site to ask a question about something seemingly simple, that may be why.

Even people who played D2 for the first 5 years may be completely out of the loop now because of patch changes.
