Now that I broke it it won't let me fix it and I am not sure why
Oh, because it's too long

Just chop out the parenthetical of which chapters are handling it

TOO LATE I FIXED IT MY WAY
That was an ordeal
I need more caffeine

GOOD ENOUGH
Thank you for your service

Good work everyone

Now I'm wondering if it fails to tell you about too long for all edits or just abuse edits

12:06 AM
I edited it from the transcript which most people can't do so I suspect it's just an oversight in that feature
But yeah, it just closed the edit box and displayed the original text and I was like "WTF?"

@TimStone well aren't you fancy

@TimStone On the one hand, this is the person who said we should be targeting terrorists' families
On the other hand, did he know the target's family was inside the house when he asked the question?

Hard to say! Presumably it wouldn't have been worth mentioning if it was like...an honest question? But it's also a single account so it's unverified. The prospect though is pretty grim

:o

@TimStone Yeah, it's one of those things I can 100% believe him saying
But I can also see it going: "Why did you wait so long to attack?" "There were innocents inside the house." "Oh, okay."

2:48 AM
@Unionhawk hue
@TimStone i hope you pull through @Yuuki

@TimStone ... What's a moose doing this far south?

@GodEmperorDune i think real ones. i seem to recall him saying he wanted to fund research in cloning them because i remember hearing that and thinking "yeh, because that's worked so well in the movies"

> The Army recently rewrote its primary warfighting doctrine to account for the long stretch of fighting without victory since 9/11. “The win was too absolute,” said Lt. Gen. Michael Lundy of the old document. “We concluded winning is more of a continuum.”
a great way to not lose is to change the definitions of winning and losing

@SaintWacko I mean, there's probably some at the zoo.
But people wouldn't really have access to kick them.

3:19 AM
@Yuuki i mean kicking a moose seems like a very texas (or florida) thing to do

Stormy Daniels' lawyer challenges Trump's claim that he didn't know about payment: How was there an agreement then? http://hill.cm/0I9kFMl
either:
- Trump is an idiot and his lies are going to be taken as truth and screw up his former laywer's case
- he's telling the truth and the NDA is voided thus the case would be closed for Daniels
- we're in Bizarro World

@TimStone A hand truck?

He managed to cancel like three fights by injuring the participants

Oh, a dolly.

@Yuuki Indeed (a dolly)

3rd time posted

Still fucked up.

Do you believe that the Fake News Media is pushing hard on a story that I am going to replace A.G. Jeff Sessions with EPA Chief Scott Pruitt, who is doing a great job but is TOTALLY under siege? Do people really believe this stuff? So much of the media is dishonest and corrupt!

@puzzlepiece87 I think I posted it the second time.

I mean…Pruitt is under siege for all the stuff he did and could just not have done 🤔

It was about the same incident but the one before was about him questioning why they wanted to avoid killing the family.

3:04 PM
why did you want to avoid comitting war crimes

@Unionhawk Trump probably thinks he can just pass the war crimes off onto random CIA officers.
"But they're the ones that actually pushed the button (ignore my orders telling them to do so). THIS IS SUCH A WITCH HUNT!" - Trump, probably

no he just doesn't get the nuance of how collateral damage works

@Unionhawk I'm not sure he doesn't get collateral damage so much as he wants collateral damage.
Remember, he loves nuclear. The devastation, it's just enormous.

3:36 PM
lmao
> he deputized a number of local miners to help him keep the peace. Not surprisingly, arming angry miners as a peacekeeping strategy did not work.

I'm pretty sure another one got owned because the guy who got fired from Wells Fargo for being a nazi ran it

@Unionhawk we need a verb like corncobbing but that has to do with aimless wandering around a fast food parking lot for hours bemoaning a website suspension

7:59 PM

@GodEmperorDune No, that's Paul Nehlen, Ryan's primary opponent

i thought ryan's opponent was iron stache

operative word being Primary

8:29 PM
oops, gotcha

But yes realistically Paul stands literally no chance lol

i guess we now know which paul was the most electable of them all

I think Owen Benjamin's "Come at me bro! (pubes)" "Oh no you came at me how could you?? (pubes)" is only barely eclipsed by Eichenwald's "Oh I actually don't work at X, Y, or Z anymore?"

@TimStone oh this was the pubes guy

Yeah, that makes the Patreon even more confusing because even from an alt-right edgelord perspective it was still really stupid

8:39 PM
@TimStone I like that Eichenwalde is cursed by tentacles forever now

The Department of Homeland Security wants to compile a database of journalists, including information about their previous coverage and the "sentiment" of the companies they work for. https://biglawbusiness.com/homeland-security-to-compile-database-of-journalists-bloggers/
I'm sure that's totally on the level

TPM Josh totally mastered the art of never tweeting through it
And Kurt should take that lesson

Yes, lol

When you're 22 tweets deep and you bring up that teens made fun of you for the tentacle thing maybe log off

8:44 PM
@MadScientist Based on the above collecting of journalist info I suspect not

I think we'll only know once we're in the era after Trump, and see how much of the damage can be fixed quickly, and how much will remain
Unless he actually starts a real war, and we're all fucked

camera pans to John Bolton swinging it on a rope

@TimStone laughs and cries simultaneously

> The recent purge of his national security team raises new questions about the quality of advice he will receive. John Bolton starts work in the White House on Monday.
From the opinion piece I linked above. That second sentence is a surprisingly scary one

@GodEmperorDune Cause it worked so well the first time Missed the obvious "if at first you don't secede" joke there, well played @GodEmperorDune

oh that was a better joke

@GodEmperorDune You basically had it covered.

@GodEmperorDune seriously?

9:02 PM
Larry Kudlow, the White House's new economic adviser, talked to reporters today. He said that we're not in a trade war. “China is the problem. Blame China, not Trump.”
We did blame China and then they added more tariffs because it is in fact a trade war

i can fully agree that china may be doing some fuct things wrt trade but i don't see how spur of the moment trade war is going to change that

BREAKING: The state of Michigan is done providing Flint residents with free bottled water https://detne.ws/2GDx1jN #FlintWaterCrisis
Is it done fixing their pipes?

@GodEmperorDune they're certainly protecting their market, but you really don't want to offend all your potential allies in this fight if you want to challenge China on this. A combined effort with US, EU and other countries that have similar issues with China would be much more effective

If only there were some sort of trade agreement that would have given us more leverage
Lobbyist landlords forced Pruitt out after he overstayed condo lease, changed the locks: report http://hill.cm/MBVlfb8

Insane and offensive, excellent
Incidentally from South Carolina too

my eyes can't go wide enough for this

@GodEmperorDune It wasn't the wind, it was the drug catapults at the border.

> "I'm not going to be a Gabby Giffords," the lawmaker said after, according to the paper. "I don't mind dying, but whoever shoots me better shoot well or I'm shooting back."
i have heard that getting shot is extremely painful and disorienting and shooting back is not really a thing that happens outside of movies

This is South Carolina, birthplace of Andrew Jackson (well, he was born in colonial Carolina before US independence).

Yeah, that's why DC fined them, lol

i mean this much coverage of a rental agreement is kind of hilarious

9:59 PM
Going back to the trade war with China, it's interesting to note the differences in intellectual property. While China is definitely subverting IP law, the obverse is that the US is perhaps too stringent with IP law.
This, for example, wouldn't be possible in the US.

copyright definitely lasts too long in the US

(Although he actually increased storage and not memory)

oh that is less impressive

It's kinda incredible to hear the things he's talking about.
"Oh, I just went and bought <random part>."
Like you can't do that in the US because the iPhone is basically airtight IP-wise.

from what i've read, shenzhen has hardware available like you'd expect to see in a cyberpunk future

10:02 PM
@GodEmperorDune Shenzhen is basically Radioshack in city form.
My dad and I are heading back to China in a week or so and I think we're planning on buying a drone in Shenzhen.

like you can have an idea for the thing, go to person x who connects you to person y who gets it built by person z

There are certain microindustries in Shenzhen that don't exist anywhere else. Or at least don't exist outside of China because of the general disregard for IP law.
Which isn't necessarily a good thing because China does some pretty screwed-up things regarding stealing patents and such.
But it's interesting to see what a middle ground between the US and China in terms of IP would look like and what it would result in.

user15026
Yeah, there's definitely some room for the US to loosen up there

user15026
