> earn 150 rep on three non-SO sites in 15 days
Why is everything spinning around SO?

@cairdcoinheringaahing all digits are powers of 2? :p

It was the very first SE site
I'm making a challenge based of of the ID of that message now :P

@Mr.Xcoder This badge and rep hunting is probably why there are so many questions on meta.se

@cairdcoinheringaahing Wait, what jester hat?

@Mr.Xcoder Nice hat :P
And the one 13 messages above
Haha, there are so many questions that match the regex: Is it a .* number? :P

8:05 PM
Is there question titled "Is it a number?" already?

Yep, quite a few.

Damn I forgot about adventofcode

Not asking for "Is it a <insert adjectivial noun here> number?"

Q: Which is a better idea for a challenge with a condition? Decision problem, first n integers, or next integer?

@cairdcoinheringaahing I just noticed we're both place 33 in the hat leaderboard :D

8:17 PM
In the entire network?

@cairdcoinheringaahing Well, it depends... I like the last one because the first two are done to death
@cairdcoinheringaahing yeah
Not to mention we are above Jon Skeet :)

I don't think he's doing anything different :P

yup...

26 hats ... holy crap

Dang.. One/Two more answers and would have gotten the repcap hat if they were very well received
@cairdcoinheringaahing busy, working on a challenge, or are you free for some JHT?

8:20 PM
Actually, I can do decision problems in Add++ easier than the others, so I think I'll go with that
@Mr.Xcoder Working on a challenge

Then good luck
spams refresh in like 10 minutes :P </joke>

Q: Does this look good to post?
cc @Mr.Xcoder ^

@cairdcoinheringaahing Looks fine
Also quite interesting to split the digits that way

@cairdcoinheringaahing I will upvote when you add some test cases

8:32 PM
Check the comment below :P

@cairdcoinheringaahing Also, please add positive integer x
Also, what should be done for numbers like 11111?

Hold on, deleting to add test cases and edge handling

@cairdcoinheringaahing About ^, I suggest adding a spec saying that you are guaranteed to receive an integer which has at least two different digits

@Zacharý I think the CM's gave it a hat

8:38 PM
Have you achieved the Taco hat yet, @ATaco

@cairdcoinheringaahing Although it shouldn't be obvious at first, your challenge is extremely biased towards 05ab1e

You'll see :D

Hehe, I have 19 bytes in Jelly

I have to make 22 hats :|
@wizzwizz4 Why did i do this

8:41 PM
@Christopher2EZ4RTZ Why?

I hat nothing to say

@cairdcoinheringaahing How is it going with the challenge?

@Mr.Xcoder Making test cases at the moment

8:50 PM
Assuming you didn't change anything, 13 bytes

I still lack the Taco hat

@Mr.Xcoder In Jelly?

@cairdcoinheringaahing In Osabie

i have 13 in Jelly :P

:/ I have to golf mine

8:57 PM

Q: Is it a pleasing number?

caird coinheringaahingA pleasing number (according to this definition) is a number that can be passed through the following process (let's use 41802000 as an example): Separate the trailing identical numbers (41802000 => [41802, 000]) Sort the first half of numbers and take the maximum digit ([41802, 000] => [8, 000...

Wow, that was fast/slow :P

@cairdcoinheringaahing Ha! 12 bytes 05ab1e

I think I can golf your answer :P

Yeah I think I do too

(if I knew 05ab1e)

9:01 PM
More specifically, zm.ï
@cairdcoinheringaahing What change are you thinking about?

@Mr.Xcoder Hold on, I'll try to make a solution first
Never mind, mine got 12 bytes
11 bytes :P

@Christopher2EZ4RTZ Because you wish for yourself to be doing nothing but consuming edible sustenance, sleeping and making paper hats for the foreseeable future.
2

@cairdcoinheringaahing I might be able to golf that. Can I see?

By the way, what's the difference between the Azure 30 day free trial (with $200 credit) and the F1 plan?

@Mr.Xcoder Testing it, then commenting on your answer

9:11 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing I updated to 11

Yeah, I saw

@cairdcoinheringaahing What does "1489" do in there o_O

@Mr.Xcoder They're the one digit square/cube numbers
The maximum digit of the non-final run has to be in that string in order for it to work

Now I have 9 bytes

Oh yeah, strings and numbers are the same in 05ab1e

9:15 PM
> strings and numbers are the same
Are you sure that's not JavaScript?
Or PHP?
Or really any other hated script-based language?

Nope, it's definitely 05ab1e

@cairdcoinheringaahing tied with you for hats :D

@cairdcoinheringaahing I don't get how your solution works.

@Mr.Xcoder I've checked it with all the test cases in the questions, it works

@cairdcoinheringaahing 41902000

9:18 PM
Thanks to 05ab1e, I've had to add a new set to my Venn diagram of languages.

@Mr.Xcoder Hmm, good find. I'll edit that into the question.

Lol Zgarb came up with the exact same number

Who's Adriandmen?

@cairdcoinheringaahing I spent ages staring at the GitHub user page, trying to work out who it was... until I noticed the "real name" field was filled with a familiar screen name.

9:26 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing I guess you have no 13-byte Jelly code now?

Nope, I have 19 bytes instead

> If this is interpreted as hexadecimal and converted to Base64, it gives "Base".

did not know that's why its called 05AB1E.

Yay for new languages \o/ I've made a better version of Jelly: Peanut Butter :P

9:32 PM
y tho

@cairdcoinheringaahing Jelly and better in the same sentence :-)?

@cairdcoinheringaahing Why is the code stored in a TIO link and not in the GH repo

@Pavel Cause I'm still working on it

@cairdcoinheringaahing Also, said TIO link has a syntax error

@cairdcoinheringaahing you should really delete your first comment then

9:35 PM
@Mr.Xcoder Nah, I'll make Dennis sweat :P
@Pavel I know. That's why it's not in a repo in a file

@cairdcoinheringaahing Nah he’ll outgolf everyone anyway

9:50 PM
@wizzwizz4 you know me well

@cairdcoinheringaahing I wish more people outgolfed me at my languages :P
2

@ATaco I know the feeling

@ATaco perhaps you just have lame languages
also ditto

My languages are exciting and interesting, like ReRegex which is just regex that applies a bunch.

Sounds kindof useless

9:56 PM
But Turing Complete!

Proof (Most likely Brainfuck)

@Christopher2EZ4RTZ Be Nice. There's no need to call Ataco's languages lame
@Zacharý So do all golfing languages :P

My languages include; a 2D Tacit language that isn't turing complete, Brainfuck if it were 3 IPs competing for priority, Regex Regex Regex Regex..., Generic Stackbased Language, Generic Stackbased language 2: Electric Boogaloo, What if things happened later, and Javascript but somehow worse.

Charcoal has a verbose mode, and in reality, that one could possibly be used as a nonesoteric language.

@cairdcoinheringaahing I said perhaps...
besides he is ataco

9:58 PM
That was my brainfuck interprator.

I got excited thinking we had a new tacoscripy

No no, Just proving the turing completeness of running regex a bunch of times.
My thesis will come out next Friday /s

:p
Has there already been a taco within a taco?

I lack the Taco hat.

... What must one do to get the Taco hat?

10:08 PM
Five +3 answers.

Have you posted five answers since the Winter Bash started?
When does Winter Bash end?

I had, but I combined them as they were on the same question.

Q: Be as fair as possible

Bruce ForteIntroduction In this challenge you should split an integer into two pieces. Since nobody likes getting the smaller piece of cake, your goal is to be as fair as possible. For example if you wanted to split the integer 7129 into two pieces, there are 3 possible ways of doing so. 7,129, 71,29 and ...

10:26 PM
Oh, I forgot to give Funky math.abs

@ATaco: For that challenge?

Yeah.

I wouldn't mind if you add it just now, it's not like it's something very unusual to add to a lang

Although I need to add it, I'm gonna go without, Keep it pure.
Is it alright if the answer randomly errors 50% of the time?

Of course not

10:37 PM
Didn't think so.

Have you ever encountered a question where this would be ok? ^^
@H.PWiz: I don't know Brachylog at all.. Do you not need to include the Z flag?

Only where it's designed to be the case. But on the plus(?) side, I discovered Table.sort is broken.

@BruceForte It is the standard invocation, I think. I'll check

OK, looks like a pretty awesome lang
But 1001 fails :(

Of course it does. Doesn't account for leading zeros :(

10:53 PM
@BruceForte Fixed

Someone's please post another challenge. I'm only 70 rep away from repcapping for the first time since May D:D

Without spending one byte more, nice

Forgot to update byte count
2 more bytes: ịᵐ

Oh, I blindly trusted you on that one.. Haven't checked in TIO (though I checked the validity)

@BruceForte It wouldn't surprise me if that is already a challenge.

10:59 PM
@ATaco: Nice description of your language on GH ^^
But you should return the difference, not how to split..
@cairdcoinheringaahing: The one I just posted?
I had a look and couldn't find anything..

Oh, let me fix that then.

@ATaco: And it fails for 1 2 8 8

Corrected.

This is crazy, this is the one of the easiest challenge I posted so far & it attracted the most invalid answers..

@BruceForte Already answered (Jelly)

11:15 PM
I'm not sure how I didn't notice the actual spec.

Ignore that last message, I just realised what you were saying

I'm gonna solve this in ReRegex now, because it feels like it would be interesting.
