@quid Since we're talking tags, it is now about a week since your comment on gt6989b's post. Just a reminder - I am not sure whether we should wait for some kind of a reasponse a bit or whether the new tag can be created.

Wow! The tag was created today and it already has 67 question.

Let us consider a linear and continuous operator on a Hilbert space $V$, $\mathcal A:V\rightarrow V$, such that: $$\|\mathcal A u\|\leq M \|u\|, \ \ \forall u\in V, M>0$$ and now consider $\langle\mathcal A u,v\rangle, \ \ u,v\in V.$ We have: \langle\mathcal A u,v\rangle\leq \|\mathcal A u\| \...

Guy Fsone also created tag-excerpt and tag-wiki.

@MartinSleziak thanks for the reminder; it's done.

Ok, so now there is and we no longer have .
I guess that such stuff is to be judged on the case by case basis, but questions about RS-integral will be most often tagged both (riemann-integral) and (stieltjes-integral) right?

Yes, I thought about keeping it as synonym but this would be confusing with the excerpt.
I mean the "Use with other tags as needed to specify Riemann–Stieltjes, Lebesgue–Stieltjes, etc. "
In another way it could be still confusing. I'll add a halfsentence

I see, you have also added both tag-excerpt and tag-wiki.

@MartinSleziak yes, I took what Toby proposed.
@MartinSleziak that's a bit strange, but maybe the tag itself is not too bad.
But I do not know that part well.

Whether it is good tag or not, it is probably not ideal that somebody retags 50 question ni a few hours.
@Henry: No. I'm saying that if it turns out that the tag is not a good fit for whatever reason, it's easier and cleaner to remove the tag from two questions (or ideally from none, as discussion should take place prior to tagging any question), than it would be from 100+ questions. — Asaf Karagila Nov 20 at 22:17

I think that Asaf's has a point. If the tag is not discussed on meta first, at least the tag-creator should leave some time for others to react if they see that somebody created a new tag which is - for some reason - problematic.

@MartinSleziak Is it common that people refers "the dual of $L^p$ is $L^{p^*}$" as Riesz's representation theorem?
