12:00 AM
@ASCII-only Oh cool! Thanks
I expected you to be like "I'm not gonna change my interpreter just for that challenge >:(" lol

@MDXF well i need to conform to implementation :P
IDK if it works though

@StepHen Done.
@ASCII-only That broke Set.
File "/opt/set/set.py", line 257
    help="If enabled, shows parse errors."
       ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

@Dennis yeah sorry fixing now

@ASCII-only It doesn't :P

@Dennis thanks a ton

12:16 AM
@Dennis Fixed

12:29 AM
@ASCII-only Syncing.

12:47 AM
@Dennis What version of node is TIO running?

1:08 AM
@Dennis Can you add MaybeLater?

@ATaco maybe later

>:(

@ATaco TIO has both v6.11.0 and v7.2.0.

7.2.0 should be compatible.

@ASCII-only um now Set doesn't work at all with the polyglot
https://tio.run/##tRZdb9vI8dlE/8G9jHZ1xyUlUiQlfokUpVySu7aIKyOO60Mo2pYtSmYii4pIWXRlBX3qS/vSQ3FoD2iDK1CgD33qU4sGKNCfkl@Qf5AOSdlxmrYPBTq7s5yZXc7ODIezm4Tpu3dUNQBI12iyuKs1KyIF2iMNcfDg6dP7lw7vD8ea/CLYe76395UwYDy93ydqizggNjjaEJVrs9E4OTkhJwC@J3tyIPgSH/jMM03RqRuWWO/VVb7uUJiqiqoKTNOE/UFr5kRRNE9GI8T4HM7iUTSbtJfp2NpBYOoez@tNfv@I7yJUsBUd4ZbNx0oh2YqLJR9DRQD2IuOot8NRaBqV3g6aGtYKaLd7wNGXHL3i6Il7wlHXdannBZtNTfLlmiwHNanm@q4re17mSYHnc3TN0WzDUY3kQRI52sncx4Uy/4FXaq29AIBH@HSlwJ/vPXp4b/9hXXMlqn1x735d2z/4nKrI6e/ZfLKZs48f3nvQP3hS18q3vvzBjx8e7KE8CbxeryZLktSTvQCtyD6tebVOmqbw9FiUOfrAyw4akoubPuLo42KlNEAzBgKuv@aoT33W1bq

1:24 AM
@ATaco I mean, I guess it's an improvement over Lua...
@Dennis If TIO has 7.2, why does node version give 6.11? Wouldn't it make more sense to have the default version be the latest?
Also, why not upgrade to 8.2?

@Phoenix because not stable

@Phoenix 6.11 comes from the distro's repos, so that one remains the default.

Ah
oic, it's also the LTS version
But still, maybe upgrade 7 to 8?

So @Dennis are you able to add MaybeLater (I didn't get an answer ;-;)

Currently trying to.

1:35 AM
Called with node interpreter.js code.ml, Hello, World is print "Hello, World!"

Is the extension required?

Nope.
I know better than to force extensions like that :P, are you getting any errors?

I'd have to run it first.

Oh, fair enough.
Note, that the intended behavior for an empty program is for it to throw an error.

Now I'm getting errors.
Because I'm not in the interpreter's directory.
Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'tokens.js'

1:37 AM
I have a special distaste for CWD
Give me a moment, I'll see if I can work around it...

@Dennis Could you pull Set?

@Dennis Monkey Patch deployed.

Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/opt/maybelater/interpreter.jstokens.js'
That doesn't look much better, unfortunately.

Aaaaaand I forgot to account for UNIX.
Hopefully this one will work. Patched again.

Any reason you use regexes instead of path.dirname?

1:49 AM
Because I'm clueless with files.

@ASCII-only Done.
@ATaco It works now. Give me a couple of minutes to set it up.

Yay.

TIO now hosts exactly 300 programming languages. https://tio.run
9

2:06 AM
Oh hey, is MaybeLater the 300th?

It is.

🎉

2:18 AM
🎉 is logical or, and window events on Emojicode :P

2:56 AM
@Dennis have talk.tio.run redirect to this chatroom. 8 bytes golfier than talk.tryitonline.net
Also, could you pull Cubically?

@MDXF talk.tryitonline.net was sort of a joke, as the only way to access an interpreter in TIO v1 was languageid.tryitonline.net
I'm uninclined to port this joke to another domain.
@MDXF Syncing.
@BruceForte I couldn't find anything in my logs, nor was I able to reproduce this issue. Any news on your end?

3:14 AM
@Dennis I still type talk.tryitonline.net to get here...

So do I. Well, I type ta and the rest auto-completes.
Which is why I don't think the 8 bytes matter.

I very much so was in the habit of typing tio.run/nexus/language, now I'm in the habit of writing tio.run/#language, which is a bit golfier.

language.tryitonline.net is still better, since everything after the language auto-completes.

I'm sure you don't want to setup language.tio.run

I don't.

3:19 AM
My minimal messing around with domains has not been pleasant.

@Dennis Yeah, I remember how annoying it would've been if someone had made a language called talk
@Dennis Thanks!

@ATaco Not sure if I understood what you mean, but tryitonline.net and its subdomains only have three DNS entries: tryitonline.net, talk.tryitonline.net, and *.tryitonline.net.

@Dennis so now you should rename it to tio.run/#talk

With a JavaScript redirect? Ew...

Or, just use response.writeHead(302, {Location: "https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/44255/talk-tryitonline-net"});response.end‌();
DNS Redirect > Server Redirect > JS Redirect

3:22 AM
The server doesn't see the hash.

ohright

And a DNS redirect is really just a server redirect using someone else's server.

@Dennis why not D:
oh yeah what do you think about a language searchbar for TIO

That's pretty much on top of my to-do list.

yay :D

3:35 AM
@Dennis Could you pull Gaia? (sorry to keep bugging you, I had a really urgent bug fix)

4:02 AM
@BusinessCat Syncing.

@Dennis How long does syncing usually take?

Roughly two minutes with the current amount of servers.

Huh
Could you check up on Cubically, then? The changes haven't manifested on Tio
Offline, this is an infinte loop. Online it just prints zero

It's an infinite loop if you add a newline.

Oh hmm

3 hours later…
6:46 AM
@Dennis Would you mind pulling MaybeLater when you get a spare moment?

1 hour later…
8:07 AM
@Dennis Underload has been changed and moved to the new repo: github.com/catseye/stringie Can you update it please?

5 hours later…
12:38 PM
@ATaco Done.
@stasoid Done.

1:04 PM
@Dennis Thanks!

1:34 PM
@Dennis No not yet, thanks a lot for looking into this issue! But this suggests that this is a problem on my end, I'll have a look at it some time.

1:45 PM
@Dennis Thank you

2 hours later…
4:08 PM
Again, TiO is showing Could not establish or mantain a connection with the server.

in The Nineteenth Byte, 4 mins ago, by wizzwizz4
@totallyhuman The backend servers are down.

5:01 PM
@Mr.Xcoder @totallyhuman Fixed.

nice

6 hours later…
11:23 PM
@Dennis Could you pull Cubically? Thanks

@MDXF Syncing.

Thanks!

11:50 PM
@Dennis Can you pull Charcoal?
