1) I dislike that style of information distribution. 2) I dislike the type of people who frequent reddit. 3) I always think of a third thing when making lists.
I'm trying to make counter-strike 1.6 dedicated server.
When I run HLDS.exe, I choose Internet but the server is only running on a local IP address.
How do I get it to work over the internet, not just my local network?
Did I mention I've disabled most of the default subreddits? My homepage is just r/tf2 and r/minecraft. I'm giving r/theoryofreddit a try but it's a very far cry from what a meta reddit really should be, it's more like whining central.
Yeah, what a lot of people don't seem to get is that most of the crap on Reddit that you don't care about can simply be filtered off by subscribing to only the subreddits that you care about.
Also, given that Reddit is a pretty massive community, it's pretty hilarious to me that "redditors" have been grouped into one collective type of person.
idk. I go on Reddit a bunch. I don't care for some of it but there's still a lot of good content to be had there.
Do I bug you that much? Well, I'm probably going to regret asking that.
Does anyone know how fraps behaves when you record a fullscreen game at a lower resolution than your native one? I know stuff like printscreen just shows up blank.
Does anyone here own L4D2 and not mind giving me your steam password. Saying this I probably wouldn't give any of you my password, but I thought I'd ask.
I have no specific problem with reddit the site. It's just not my thing. This has been met numerous times in the past with, "OMG REDDIT IS AWESOME WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?" That's what makes me never want to go there.
@OrigamiRobot I dunno much about that. I just hate the frothing fanboys who insist that everything he shits out is pure comedic gold and that arguments can be fought entirely using "relevant" XKCD comics.
I remember seeing a lot of cool Counter Strike videos back in the day. How do you go about recording your gameplay (any game) into an easy to edit format? Do you need special software? How much does it cost?

That's pretty much it, guys... My girlfriend is playing Harvest Moon DS in my DS and she doesn't know how to get toys for their pets to play with. Does anyone knows how it's done?
By the way, it's Haverst Moon: Tale of Two Towns.
This question attempts to collect the few pearls among the dozens of bad C++ books that are released every year.
Unlike many other programming languages, which are often picked up on the go from tutorials found on the Internet, few are able to quickly pick up C++ without studying a good C++ book...
> A game played in which two or more girls sit on the toliet and see who can make the loudest "battle ship" noises with their monstrous bowl emissions.
I know about it because someone posted a thing on facebook a while ago where their school had posted notices prohibiting the game from their washrooms.
@OrigamiRobot I am going to go through all your questions/answers. I will upvote ones that I think are good, but I will also downvote every one I don't. Deal? ;)
@OrigamiRobot That script might also invalidate every vote between the two involved users, it's not so clear how it exactly works, but I would really try to avoid triggering it.
I am trying to phrase this question in a way that makes it not subjective. I am not looking for "the most fun" or "best" profession for a Warlock to practice in WoW. What I am looking for is to get more information on what profession will benefit a warlock the most in terms of content progression...
@OrigamiRobot I have played very few of the same games, so I have no idea if any of your answers are actually wrong lol. So you're 1 upvote was all I ended up getting lol
Oh, at some point I was thinking we should do a minecraft LP in which we involve the community with our channel more, by doing challenges and such. Does anyone think this is a good idea?
Map hackers are the lowest form of intelligence in the human race. I don't fear them because if they have to use a map hack to win they are a loser in life and generally too stupid to know how to function without cheating. That means that in SC2, even though they are cheating the fact is they are...
Several times now, I happen to be the one who last hits and finishes an enemy nexus. In these cases, I got 50g from doing so. I verified that I do not get that extra if I do not last hit the nexus. What is the point of this gold? Killing the nexus means you already won the game so what is the poi...
@Wipqozn You can't delete comments, you currently can't delete answers, you can't lock posts, you can't protect posts, you can't handle problem users...
Correct. Keep in mind that 10k users also get view into the basic flag types like close reasons, as well, for this very reason. It's also why standard close flags get converted to close votes if you're at 3k.
@Wipqozn Just vote to close - bring it up in here if you aren't willing to wait, but fact is, we have an active community of closers, so there isn't a strong need to escalate to moderators unless it is absolutely imperative that stuff gets off the site immediately.
Whoever acts on your flags makes the decision behind judgment, but the policy hasn't really changed at all on the subject - again, there's a reason why we auto-convert close flags.
@GraceNote My point is that I flag a lot and the majority of mine are not declined.
@badp That's the impression I've been under as well. In fact I think it was you who told me not to worry about over flagging, which is why I'll flag when something needs to be closed/deleted.
and it has yet received close votes to do so
If the policy is that I shouldn't be flagging things I can personally deal with, then I think it, to me, isn't a well known policy.
that is to say we should make an effort to make it more well known.
Remember that flagging for moderator attention means you're creating work for moderators - when you create work for moderators when they don't need to do that work, it's extra work that's possibly taking their attention from other places where they might indeed need to work.
@GraceNote I understand that, and it makes sense. It just goes against everything I've come to learn about flagging on the site, which was to flag, flag, flag

Even when I do have the reputation to delete answers/questions, should I still be flagging posts that should be deleted since we don't have many 20k users?
