It's funny, there's a course out there which is supposed to guarantee an increase of 150 points on the test. I'm thinking of contacting them, because I made just 70 points from the theoretical top without taking the course. I wonder what they would do with that...
@Ghanima Yes, I know. But some people honestly have such a hard time with the test and so much want to get into university that they'll pay for courses of that sort. And, where there is money, there will be businessmen.
Personally, those aren't the students I would want to have in my university, but anyhow.
It's not my lookout, fortunately. :)
For myself, I figured if I wasn't a good enough student to make it without prep courses, it wasn't worth my while going into university.
If you count the opportunity cost (in time) of being at university plus tuition costs plus boarding while on campus plus the cost of all those "necessary" extracurriculars, you're probably better off not going unless you have a reason in mind.
We've got about 150 gallons of maple syrup made so far.
BTW I had a few offers last year that were all paying less than 50k (US $ equivalent) and I have a masters degree and 10 years of experience, but it is not the US so things are different
I heard people talking about doing something like charging the battery fully leaving it too run down fully then recharging it again fully. (To help make the battery more accurate I don't know much about it.)
@HenryWHHackv2.0 Is that all the readout you can get from S.M.A.R.T in Windows? I can get a good bit more than that in Ubuntu. At least, unless I'm mistaken. :)
How can I check the SMART status of a drive under 14.04 and beyond? I've seen Checking HD SMART status on a fresh install but it doesn't seem to apply under 14.04 and later.
For a commandline version, you need to install the smartmontools package.
Do this by running:
sudo apt-get install smartmontools
You will then be able to get information on SMART by running sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda in the terminal.
