I fully agree and I would work like this with MY team. The "hic" is that I had this discussion 24 hours ago with a tech lead near to me and he told me: "No... if the PR gets updated, the number of unrelated files (mixing features) will grow and it is likely to be very difficult for me to perform ONE code review for the whole at once (too many changed/added files at once)... so I suggest them to write a second and completely independent pull request". — Mik378 40 secs ago

@Revious Yes, it's a matter of voting to close a question that has been off-topic (in a number of ways) since it was posted. Not only is it asking for a code review/refactor, it's also asking an opinion-based question ("How would you write this?" is not quite objective). @Lucas you can simply replace all existing tabs with spaces before doing the conversion to make it work on 3rd line too (you can refine this conversion to bee regex based too if you also want to avoid tabs later in the line). I updated my solution to solve this at least for the simplest case. I'd advise against "monter regexes": anytime I find them in code review I ask a rewrite using more code (and comment) + simplere regexes, or no regezes at all when possible, or worst case, to assemble a large regex from smaller strings with ample comments between them - code readability above all :) — NeuronQ 31 secs ago

Just got done walking an elderly woman through logging in to their wireless router from her Android phone to retrieve the network security key so they could connect their new computer to the Internet. Man that was a lot of work, but we did it!

Regarding improvements, I suggest that once your issue is resolved you bring this program to Code Review, which is dedicated to this purpose :) — Quentin 10 secs ago
