@JourneymanGeek Is it like indirectly acquiring a lock to the chat and everyone else waits for me to free it (when I stop play by playing and a set allotment of time passes) ?
@Burgi I'm not a cat roleplaying a dog. I'm simply a cat. It just happens my name was changed to 'Dog' without my consent, then I changed it to something else, then changed it back again because it was funny cats are indecisive like that.
Ooh I should be able to bring ice cream home easily tonight since it's 0'c outside
> Demi- is a prefix meaning half. This is used to mean halfway between sexual and asexual. The term originated in the asexual community, specifically within the Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN).
(the fact that I have quite a few transgendered and alphabet soupy friends is why I sometimes am a tiny bit protective when people start talking ... insensitive stuff to people outside the standard social binary)
@MichaelFrank my friend was a particularly odd one
he also disappeared from our shared online social circles and randomly turns up to say hi. then vanishes again
here is a brief rundown of the IT failings: - No UPS - Mac Mini running as a Windows domain controller - no back up for aforementioned mac mini - No AV - No firewall - Second internet line does not failover - No asset list to track kit (some has gone walkies) - No guest wifi network - Open network shares - No local backup - Offsite backup is done via dropbox
Ermm what I was trying to say was nearly froze my paws off for this, but I was so cold my typing had a resolution of approximately 1/4 of the entire keyboard
It's obnoxiously difficult to get 300Mbps over 4G
At least over 2x20Mhz. Obviously would be easier over 3x20
@Burgi actually... I have a super rough setup of what I'd suggest already ;p
For Servers I'd build off a Poweredge T330 to replace your mac mini (and in theory, possibly the mac pro). For storage - a synology DS1815+ with seagate 8tb drives, or whatever you have on the mac pro right now.
I really need more experience with this sorta thing :(
it is stuff like that why we should all buy an AMD processor, just for kicks :-) Otherwise when intel is a monopoly , we will all need 5yr loans to buy $5000 processors.
Our brains were shaped after natural selection. Which means that, as long as we were being affected by it, our brains were changing, evolving.
Once we stepped out of nature and stopped being targets of natural selection, our brains (structurally speaking) stopped changing.
Civilizations rose, h...
ahh i was just trying to figure that out myself. 2 people get caught in a time-warp. One person is from 1916, and the other is from 2016, who has the most ammount of work required to blend into thier new enviroment?
The genious from 2016, has no idea how to farm, he dies in less than 1 year. The idiot from 1916 , now trapped in 2016 , has to learn how to drool, move a mouse around, and type text on a small keyboard.
a (flint) lighter is just a slightly more sofisticated method of banging rocks together, The average human of today wouldnt know how to even find flint :-)
