why must my throat be so fucking sore?! Especially when I'm about to go to a singing workshop?!
01:03
is there some way to make a nice table like the pciture? (just without "pixelated stuff")
(without inserting a "fitting" image)

Hi guys, this is my first time in an SE chat room.
How's everybody doing?

This question: http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/338972/how-do-you-extend-the-inner-line-of-a-double-line
deserves more than two votes.
Is anything being done to develop TikZ to get rid of antialiasing artifacts for overlapping shapes with same boundaries. -is it possible to do anything?

@Hans-PeterE.Kristiansen thr answer is "no" to both questions. PDF anti-aliasing and font hinting is so unpredictable that you can't do anything, so you don't do anything (on the library's code level I mean). On the user's level, you can do something, but not quite in this case. You can, however, do things like this:

Q: Is there a reason Hillary Clinton's logo has hidden notches?

I. J. KennedyThis question is not political in the least! While looking at the SVG version of Hillary's logo found here, I noticed there were notches in the two vertical bars of the H. The arrow crossbar covers up the notches so they are not seen when viewing the logo. But I'm very curious why the designer...

@DavidCarlisle depends ... But yes not for a long time
@KhalidHussain Ciao! Everybody was sleeping but you, it seems. ;-)
09:01
@KhalidHussain Aloha!
@FrankMittelbach Hi Frank!
09:12
@FrankMittelbach Hello
@FrankMittelbach, hi
@Joseph: holiday here, so more time to not work on my thesis. :)
09:30
@PauloCereda hi Paulo, hi @Joseph
@FrankMittelbach How are you, pal?
@PauloCereda doing good ... Back in enterprise management today attending a Product show/ conference .... Typing on the phone is painful :-)
@PauloCereda bad idea
@FrankMittelbach Typing on the phone is terrible indeed. :)
@FrankMittelbach Can't I use \usepackage{thesislipsum}? :)
09:46
@PauloCereda probably not doing it for long
@PauloCereda depends on your prof so don't know ... If he/ she likes big words and is trusting :-)
@FrankMittelbach :)
@FrankMittelbach Ooh
yo'

@PauloCereda what holiday? Tomorrow it's the International Students' Day and the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day, which is an important holiday here. I will celebrate it far away from any people in Moravian forests :)
@yo' Today is Proclamation of the Republic. :)
yo'
yo'
@PauloCereda wow, just 1 day away from the Velvet Revolution :)
09:50
@yo' oh
yo'
yo'
@PauloCereda but the Republic Day is Oct 28 here... (basically the end of WWI)
Time to listen to some talks ...

@DavidCarlisle From "never used minted" to "minted debugger" in 24 hours ;-)
12:36
since when does TX.SX use Google AJAX Search Tracker?
@UlrikeFischer :-)
@UlrikeFischer do you think he's picking up a different python if called from the editor?
13:19
@naphaneal had the same problem with Ghostery. It's since last night
@percusse yeah, took me an hour to figure that out...
@Hans-PeterE.Kristiansen It's a vector graphics rendering bug. TikZ or TeX has no authority over it.
@barbarabeeton vvv
This is an area where amsmath might do better: different fonts give different results, even missing some steps. — egreg 2 mins ago
@DavidCarlisle That comment costed you an upvote for your rival :P
13:39
@DavidCarlisle It is possible but I don't find it very probable. Why should he have a different python? And why should pygmentize write empty files in this case?
@UlrikeFischer don't know, I've got several pythons (python2 and pythin3 and native windows and cygwin so it all depends on the path:-) anway I think it's been narrowed down to "weird local installation problem" so not much more we can do:-=)

@percusse Actually I did upvote. I'm much more generous than @DavidCarlisle.
@DavidCarlisle Do you get an error with luatex 1.0 with this document:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{luaotfload}

\font\test={Cambria:mode=base;script=latn;language=DFLT;+tlig;}

\begin{document}

\test
{%
\parfillskip 0pt
Völklinger%

}
\end{document}
On miktex I get
! error: (linebreak): invalid list tail, probably missing glue
! ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!
@UlrikeFischer Don't have luaoftload updated here :(
@DavidCarlisle @JosephWright: I'm naturally using a luaotfload beta release with miktex
16:20
@UlrikeFischer Nope, still not working if I grab the latest version from GitHub:
attempt to call field 'addfeature' (a nil value)
17:16
@percusse I know that it is a rendering problem, but it is not specific to just one viewer, and it can (sometimes? often? always?) be circumvented by clever coordinate adjustments by the user. -That is why I was thinking that maybe TikZ could actually be made to do this automatically through some option.
17:39
@UlrikeFischer not sure which luaotfload I have now whatever I last installed from githu, I get that error if I load cambria.ttf by name, if i try to load cambria.ttc (which is teh font i seem to have) then I get a different error on font load about not finding the metrics.
18:14
1200 lines of template conditionls that nobody really needs.

3 hours later…
21:29
@DavidCarlisle but you get my error on texlive with luatex 1.0xx too, so it is not only miktex. I will add an issue on the luaotfload tracker.
22:25
I know of Tufte book style/design, are there any other unusual but interesting page layout designs?
@wilx surely some of these must be either unusual or interesting or both:-)
@DavidCarlisle Ooo! I have never seen that site before. Thank you.
@wilx @Johannes_B will tell you (with some reason) that not all the templates are exactly models of good tex coding but if you are just looking for a quick overview of possibilities ....
@DavidCarlisle You mentioned the word
@Johannes_B templates it's gone now, you can come out
22:38
@DavidCarlisle No templates for me, please
