@TriyugiNarayanMani - see the works of lopamudra en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lopamudra she wrote lalita shahasra nama , rig veda

3:56 PM
@SwiftPushkar yes I have seen that. I am searching that in Rig veda. It looks like indianscripture site doesn't have that chapter.

4:09 PM
@TriyugiNarayanMani - ok , i will also try and will give you authentic sources , if found some :)
@Tezz - hii how are you ? whats up?

@SwiftPushkar ok

@SwiftPushkar I'm all fine... what's about you...?
@KeshavSrinivasan Matysendranath is also known by the name Machhandarnath... Machha /(Matsya) +Indra + nath = Machhandarnath...

@Tezz - :) Nice to hear that , are there ant shaktipeethas in Nepal , whts the famous devi temple over there
@Tezz - In marathi language he is called as Machhandarnath :) मच्छिंद्रनाथ

@SwiftPushkar some famous Devi temples are Guhesywari of Kathmandu, Dakshinkali of Kathmandu, Manakamana of Gorkha, and other Shaktipeetha in several district (like Ambikeshwari in my district)....
@SwiftPushkar मच्छिंन्द्रनाथ is also Sanskrit name....

@Tezz - ok , will search abt that , and will see the pics.also :) abt temples

4:21 PM
@SwiftPushkar Ok...

@Tezz - sanskrit and marathi are nearly identical languages .

@SwiftPushkar yes, Telugu, Hindi, Nepali, Marathi etc... all have common words from Sanskrit...

@Tezz - yes , see this word , Balbodh ( बाळबोध) we often use this word here :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balbodh
@Tezz - by the way i have seen diff. temple architecture style in Himalayan region, also see temples of wood , whts that style , like we have "Hemadpanthi style"
@Tezz -i have visited this "manu" temple at manali town in Himachal pradesh , india :) liked style :)
Triyuginarayan Temple (Sanskrit: त्रियुगी-नारायण) is a Hindu temple located in the Triyuginarayan village in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand. The ancient temple is dedicated to god Vishnu. Its fame is credited to the legend of god Shiva’s marriage to goddess Parvati witnessed by Vishnu at this venue and is thus a popular pilgrimage centre. A special feature of this temple is a perpetual fire, that burns in front of the temple. The flame is believed to burn from the times of the divine marriage. Thus, the temple is also known as Akhand Dhuni temple. The temple courtyard is also the source of a...

4:43 PM
@SwiftPushkar yes actually I have got my name after my grandfather visited that temple during Badarinath yatra

@TriyugiNarayanMani - ohh ok , grt :) its like kedarnath temple same style

@TriyugiNarayanMani wow...!!

@Tezz ☺☺

@SwiftPushkar yes it's great...

4:46 PM
@TheDestroyer - hii :)

@SwiftPushkar Hi

@Tezz @TheDestroyer @TriyugiNarayanMani - while reading one answer i came across this comment " After sankara most vedantins and shaiva acharyas have criticised sankara for borrowing buddhist ideology. " whts this , i mean , i never before heard this , wht abt this , i want to know why he is critisised ? shankara

Q: Was Draupadi reborn in the house of Adi Shankaracharya?

Keshav SrinivasanIn this excerpt from the Garuda Purana, various incarnations of Vayu the wind god are described. In particular, it says this: When lord Rama incarnated on earth, Vayu was born as Hanuman for rendering assistance to Rama. When lord Krishna descended on earth, he was born as Bhima, the offspr...

this question

@SwiftPushkar All those Acharyas are Sectarian people. They didn't like the idea of God being one as it denies their Ista Devas Supremacy.. Padma Purana Uttara Khanda chapter says Shankara as deceiver. Shiva Himself demeans Shaiva Philosophy and says Adi Shankara is Mayavadi (Vaishnavas use this word for Adi Shankara). That Chapter is pure interpolation

@TheDestroyer - ohh , ok :) ie. concept of nirgun bhrama right ?

@SwiftPushkar hahaha... dont take it seriously... actually one can find anything in Uttara Khanda of Padma Purana...after few years we will find methods to make iphone in Uttara Khanda of Padma Purana... so no need to worry... just enjoy... haha...

4:56 PM
@SwiftPushkar Adi Shankara revered Shiva and Vishnu as one. He says both are one. Also, He didn't have any particular Ista Deva.

@Tezz - haha :) ok , you are a grt tezz comedian also :) like that

@Tezz "Matysendranath is also known by the name Machhandarnath... Machha /(Matsya) +Indra + nath = Machhandarnath..." Oh ok. But does Matsyendranath have any connection with Kaula Tantras?

@Tezz I don't think entire Uttara Khanda is interpolation..
@Tezz Srisaila Mahatyam is present in Uttara Khanda..
@SwiftPushkar Read. Prasnottara Ratna Malika of Shankara

@Tezz @TheDestroyer - ok , that mean idea of panchayatan or Pantheon : ok @TheDestroyer - ok downloaded pdf , will read later thanks :)
@KeshavSrinivasan - Hii :) Vanakkam

@TheDestroyer It is possible that entire Uttara Khanda is latter addition... because some versions of Padma Purana doesn't contain Uttara Khanda at all... but anyway... it's true that one can find anything in UttaraKhanda of Padma Purana... haha...

4:59 PM
@SwiftPushkar Vanakkam

@Tezz haha.. Actually that particular chapter is ridiculous..

@SwiftPushkar For the record, I disagree with Tezz and the Destroyer on this issue. By the way, many scholars believe that Adi Shankaracharya's guru's guru Gaudapada was originally a Yogachara Buddhists. See Hajime Nakamura's History of Early Vedanta Philosophy for more information.

@KeshavSrinivasan Tantric tradition goes as Lord Shiva to Matsyendranath to Gorakhnath to Chaurangi Nath to and so on...but I'm not sure with Particular Kaula Tantra....

@SwiftPushkar Advaitins dispute this; they think Gaudapada was the shishya of Vyasa's son Shuka, as I discuss here:
4
Q: How did the Advaita Acharya Gaudapada meet Vyasa's son Shuka?

Keshav SrinivasanThe most prominent thinker associated with the Advaita Vedanta school is Adi Shankaracharaya, but he wasn't the founder of Advaita; Adi Shankaracharaya's guru Govinda and Govinda's guru Gaudapada were also Advaitins. As I discuss in this question, Gaudapada is famous for his commentary on the Ma...

@SwiftPushkar Personally, I'm skeptical of the notion that Gaudapada ever met Shuka.

@KeshavSrinivasan - ohh ok , actually i know nothing abt this issue , and not serious , just curios :) i will read Hajime Nakamura's History of Early Vedanta also :)

5:02 PM
@Tezz there's a Sahyadri Kanda of Skanda Purana, which describes all temples along the Krishna River..

@SwiftPushkar And in any case... that chapter doesn't name Shankara at all... if someone considers it genuine too then it's possible that it is referring to some coming incarnations...

@Tezz I know that the Nath tradition goes from Matsyendranath to Gorakshanath, but I didn't know that the Nath tradition was connected to Tantras.

@TheDestroyer Oh I first time heard the name of Sahyadri Kanda...

@Tezz No chances of being authentic..
"Shiva says this to Parvati, "The doctrine of Maya (illusion)is a wicked doctrine and said to be pseudo-Buddhist. I myself,of the form of a brahmana, proclaimed it in Kali(age). It shows the meaninglessness of the words of the holy texts and is condemned in the world. In this (doctrine) only the giving up of one's own duties is expounded. And that is said to be religiousness by those who have fallen from all duties. I have propounded the identity of the Highest Lord and the (individual) soul. I stated this Brahman's nature to be quality less.

@TheDestroyer - Sahyadri means mountain range over here in MH ? ok :)

5:06 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan Nath Tradition is connected to Tantras... especially Tantras like Kundalini Tantra (in which Sri Vidya and Kaula Vidya are also associated) and Shabar Tantra...

@Tezz Non Vedic? Pure interpolation...
@SwiftPushkar Yeah.. Sahyadri in MH
Sahyādrikhaṇḍa or Sahyadri Khand, written in Sanskrit, is claimed as a part of Skandapurāṇa. From the old records it can be seen that Sahyādrikhaṇḍa is a later inclusion in the original Skandapurāṇa. It contains the legend of the origin of the Chitpavans. == Description == There is an elaborate description about the creation of Paraśurāma kṣetra. In one place the land is stated to have been created by Paraśurāma by shooting an arrow, while in another place the land is created by throwing an axe. Experts in the field of Archaeology feel that the place where Parashurama's arrow landed is believed...

@TheDestroyer haha... actually that passage of Padma Purana also contradicts with this statement of Lord Krishna from Mahabharat:

"Since by all his acts he performs sacrifices for all and seeks the good of every creature, therefore he is called Shiva or the auspicious one."

@Tezz One should read previous lines.. Shiva demeans pasupata Philosophy also which is disgusting..

@TheDestroyer @Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan - nath sampradai is very well known here in maharashtra here, actually famous saint Dnyaneshwar and his guru brother Nivruttinath were from nath smpradai , saint Dnyaneshwar wrote saint Dnyaneshwari ज्ञानेश्वरी (commentary) on gita , he was grt. yogi

@TheDestroyer haha... anways... it's divine interpolation.. and it's secret is in Brihadaranyaka 1.4.10....☺☺

5:14 PM
@SwiftPushkar Natha Sampraday is also famous in my home town Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh

@Tezz - ha ha , like the concept "divine interpolation" @TriyugiNarayanMani - ok :)

@TriyugiNarayanMani the name Gorakhpur comes from Guru Gorakhnath...

@SwiftPushkar Yes. SRI M is also initiated into Nath Sampradaya.. His name is Madhukarnath.. where Madhu is his past life's name. His guru is Sri Mahatavar Babaji..
@Tezz haha.. Yes.. Also in Rig Veda (1.164.46) - "Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanti"

@TriyugiNarayanMani Gorkha district of Nepal and Gorkhali (another name for Nepali) and Gorkha Army here... all come from Guru Gorakhnath...

@SwiftPushkar Sri Mahatavar babaji is believed to be Lord Shiva Himself..

5:17 PM
@Tezz yes and there is also Gorakhanath Matha en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorakhnath_Math

@Tezz "Nath Tradition is connected to Tantras... especially Tantras like Kundalini Tantra (in which Sri Vidya and Kaula Vidya are also associated) and Shabar Tantra..." Is "Kundalini Tantra" the name of some specific Shakta Agama? I've never heard of it.

@TheDestroyer - ok

@KeshavSrinivasan I don't know whether there is a specific Shakta Aagama named Kundalini Tantra... but main scripture of Shaktas like Devi Bhagvatam clearly emphasize on Kundalini Tantra. So I'm sure Shakta Aagams also emphasize on it... . And Guru Gorakhnath also advocated on raising Kundalini and Kundalini Tantra... so there is definitely Tantric connection betwn the two...

@KeshavSrinivasan Matsyendranatha is said to written a book Kaulajnananirnaya m.exoticindia.com/m/book/details/…

@TriyugiNarayanMani - are you native of delhi or other state ? @TriyugiNarayanMani - ohh ok :)

5:22 PM
@SwiftPushkar I am working in delhi and my home town is Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh

@TriyugiNarayanMani yes, also Shabar Mantras created by Gorakhnath are very famous here.. ...

@Tezz Which "nath" was avatar of Shiva other than Matsyendranath?

@Tezz oh ok

@Tezz OK, so you're just talking about the concept of Kundalini, you're not talking about the title of a specific Agama.

@TheDestroyer Matsyendranath is only Amsa Avatar of Lord Shiva... but Gorakhnath is full Avatar.... so he is considered to be verily Shiva himself....

5:23 PM
@TriyugiNarayanMani Thanks

@KeshavSrinivasan welcome

@Tezz ok

@KeshavSrinivasan No I'm not talking about name of Shakta Aagams... Actually I don't know even 1 name of Shakta Aagams.. haha...

@TheDestroyer - yes i have visited " Paraśurāma kṣetra" the temple 3-4 times , at chiplun town , kokan :) its very fine temple the murthy is also big :)

@Tezz I think you've been reading too many archaic English translations of books, haha. Nobody says "verily" anymore.

5:27 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan haha... effects of reading Upanishads....

@SwiftPushkar I need Sahyadri Khanda book as it has many temples in Andhra along the Krishna River..

@TheDestroyer - ok i will search for that , meantime this is murthy of parshurama , from chiplun town temple , whts that ?

@SwiftPushkar Also, that has some controversy about Konkan brahmins..
The Chitpavan or Chitpawan, part of the Konkanastha Brahmins (i.e. "Brahmins native to the Konkan"), are a Brahmin community of Konkan, the coastal region of western India. The community is Hindu. Until the 18th century, however, the Chitpavans were not esteemed in social ranking, and were indeed considered by other older Brahmin castes as being an inferior caste of Brahmins. The community remains concentrated in Maharashtra but also has populations all over India and the rest of the world including the USA and UK. == Origin == There are two common mythological theories of origin among th...

@TheDestroyer - ohh , its nothing ,they are same , but during aryan invasion myth , some of them thought that they were original aryan came here on boat , but now that myth is over , its i think gentically proven that they are from here itself
@TheDestroyer - kokanastha as i told yesterday , but they are little more orthodox in marrying with deccan people or deshasta , but now a days no such thing actually exsist. its just old beliefs ,

5:37 PM
@SwiftPushkar i think Sahyadri khanda also describes temples in MH..
@SwiftPushkar ok..

@TheDestroyer - ok , i wil see that also , most famous temples in MH are "Astavinayak " "khandoba" (Mh kuladevata state) Mahalaxami (kolhapur) , and 3 and half shakti peethas,

@SwiftPushkar ok. Temples along length of Krishna..

@TheDestroyer - trimbakeshwar, etc. Narasobawadi , narasingpur , narayanpur etc

@SwiftPushkar Triyambakeshwar is on banks of Godavari
ok

@TheDestroyer - Temples along length of Krishna --- Narasobawadi , narasingpur , narayanpur

5:41 PM
@TheDestroyer @SwiftPushkar you are talking about river कृष्ण or river कृष्णा...?

@Tezz what the difference?

@Tezz - कृष्णा @TheDestroyer krishn means black , but krishna is a name i think

@TheDestroyer कृष्ण means Lord Krishna... कृष्णा means Draupadi...

@Tezz ohh.. Why is draupadi called कृष्णा ?

Huh?? @Tezz

5:49 PM
@TheDestroyer I don't know exact reason... but name Krishnã for Draupadi is used several times in Mahabharat... maybe because she is black or she is sister or Lord Krishna...
@KrishnShweta why... Huh?...

@Tezz ok.. Do you know legend of this temple?

@Tezz Krishna=Draupadi.

@TheDestroyer no, I don't know...

Four Deva Rishis viz., Sankara, Sanakasa, Sanatkumara, and Sanatsujata are known for their un-wavering devotion and saintly knowledge. They are immoral and always appear at the age of five years to others. They remained so detached from the awareness of worldly matters that they remain naked without covering their bodies. Once, they came to Kailas, the abode of Lord Shiva to worship Him.
At the same time, Sachi Devi, Swaha Devi, Goddess Saraswathi and Goddess Lakshmi also arrived. Lord Subrahmanyeswara was sitting in the lap of his mother Goddess Parvathi by that time
Subrahmanyeswara as a child was bewildered at the two contrasts of fully clad Gods and Goddesses on one hand and the nude Deva rishis on the other. He giggled innocently in a childish way.
Goddess Parvathi chided Lord Subrahmanyeswara for his folly. Later, Lord Subrahmanyeswara realised his lapse and took permission to do penance to get rid of the blemish. Lord Subrahmanyeswara did the penance in disguise, in the form of a snake for many years and successfully cleansed Himself of his folly. The place where Lord Subrahmanyeswara did penance later came to be known as ‘Mopidevi’.

@KrishnShweta haha its not Krishna... It's Krishnã... ( कृष्णा)।....
@TheDestroyer oh... I didn't knew about that legend....

5:53 PM
@Tezz Draupadi is believed to be avatar of Durga.. i don't know whether this is mentioned in any Purana or not
@Tezz Yeah. Temple site says this is mentioned in Sahyadri Khanda

Good night @all

@TriyugiNarayanMani Good night. How's your son?

@TheDestroyer I think Draupadi is mentioned incarnation of Lakshmi (actually Sri).. this Sri can also refer to Indras wife Sachi...

@TheDestroyer thanks for asking. He is fine.

@Tezz I think that Sri is not Lakshmi..

5:56 PM
@TriyugiNarayanMani - ok ,GN TC Bye :)

@TriyugiNarayanMani welcome :)

@TriyugiNarayanMani good night..

@TheDestroyer in my view it's Sachi as Pandavas are Indras...

@Tezz Or combined wives of Indra, Yama, Vayu and aswini Kumaras

@TheDestroyer yes... but all five were Indras and prisoned by Shiva...

5:59 PM
@Tezz Yeah.. i read that.

@SwiftPushkar that is optimistic thinking.. actually that's good habit..
@KrishnShweta Siva Siva 🙉 Is that lady religious? If yes, that may happen..
Because good virtues they acquire by doing poojaa get reduced When they curse..

@KeshavSrinivasan @KrishnShweta @TheDestroyer - ok will sleep now , bye GN/GD ,TC ..

@SwiftPushkar bye.. Gn

6:44 PM
@SwiftPushkar Good night

@KrishnShweta those religious ladies are very dangerous. They do poojaa with so much Bhakti and curses when they get angry...

@TheDestroyer I don't who is she.

@KrishnShweta ohh.. ok..
@KrishnShweta due to virtues of pooja, these curses work.. like how sages curse in olden days by their tapo shakti

However if I have done anything wrong obviously something bad will happen with me. Nenu upavasam untunna @TheDestroyer

@KrishnShweta actually that small curse is already predestined.. you can't change it.. however you may reduce it to certain extent.
If it is AagamI Karma , upavasa will work.. but Prarabda Karma is bit difficult to subdue..

6:56 PM
OK.
good night.

@KrishnShweta gn
