A: Correct way to add 22 to 4 to get 9999

Element118Just a stab at this. Probably not the answer by a long shot, but might be interesting.

The second answer to my first Puzzling question.
Seven votes. Whoa.
The question itself is:

Q: Correct way to add 22 to 4 to get 9999

zyabin101Inspired by four other puzzles, how could it be possible that adding 22 to 4 gives 9999? What is the correct way to do it? As with all of the other puzzles, consider these numbers in base 10.

@zyabin101 Sock confirmed?

@VTCAKAVSMoACE Nope.
I just like to do these utterances whenever someone asks to pull from some repo to TIO. c:

Lebedev, Special functions, section 1.2 uses a double-integral approach: $$\Gamma(z) = \int_{0}^{\infty}t^{z-1}e^{-t}\, d t \qquad (\Re z > 0)$$ $$\Gamma(z)\Gamma(1-z) = \int_{0}^{\infty}\int_{0}^{\infty}s^{-z}t^{z-1}e^{-(s+t)}\,ds\, dt \qquad (0<\Re z <1)$$ The double-integral can be evaluated as $\frac{\pi}{\sin \pi z}$. The he uses continuation to extend the formula to all $z\in \mathbb{C}$ without the negative integers. — gammatester 4 mins ago

@MartinEnder Congrats! Must be the right one if you were willing to marry during your Ph.D. :p

@zyabin101 Upvotes is listed twice, with two different values. What is the difference?

@zyabin101 Learn SEDE and have it do the work for you.

1:40 PM
@VTCAKAVSMoACE The first is the question upvotes, the second is the answer upvotes, which were very crudely fuzzed.
@El'endiaStarman Nope.
It is used to only query SE data. SEDE cannot be used to further process the data.
If you wish to further process the data, be in a country where the Internet Archive isn't banned :P

@zyabin101 ....*huh?* I see no data processing in your "leaderboard".

Then download the SE data dump from there and program yourself a processor.
It's much easier to use StatsExchange.
Added Helka Homba to the leadboard.
As you have imagined, it is on the first place.

The paragraphs after the leadboard are importable into StatsExchange, and they can be used to reproduce the leadboard.
Who else wants to be on the leadboard?
As you may see by the settings, questions that meet the criteria are questions with at least 5 votes.
There is a reason why I chose five, but why, is an exercise to the reader :P

Huh. Your best question is at 16 votes, however, no data for that question shows up.
Right now, you can't join the leadboard. :(

@El'endiaStarman If I were to define v = t/s, where t and s were independent variables, what would dv be?
For some reason, I'm being really stupid. :P

@VTCAKAVSMoACE (dt*s - t*ds)/(s^2)
Quotient rule.

@El'endiaStarman That's what I got, but I was like, waaaaiiiit.
Thanks.

@Fatalize Aha! Obtained data on 1 question and 3 answers on this question.

@zyabin101 Hum, that's pretty strange ! (same goes for answer, I have some with 5+ votes)

Wait, StatsExchange is broken.
Ah, it's me dumb. XP
I forgot to set user filtration mode to get data only from specific User No.'s!
@Fatalize Aha! Obtained data on 18 question(s) and 145 answer(s) on these questions.
You get second place.

@zyabin101 Thanks
Maybe you had the same problem for Katenkyo?

@zyabin101 Did you just type those out by hand rather than autocompleting??

@trichoplax Who uses autocomplete?
It makes so many mistakes, like this:

@zyabin101 It's @MartinEnder now, congrats to you Martin, best wishes for the future

2:36 PM
@MartinEnder Congrats on your name change, I mean your wedding :-)

@wizzwizz4 When I reply like this I don't need to, but when I use @username I choose one of the suggestions, especially for long usernames, to avoid a typo preventing the ping from working

@trichoplax Why not autocorrect? This is why:

@mınxomaτ Why not?

(everybody go and star this message)

@wizzwizz4 I'm not talking about autocorrect - that is indeed a source of horrible/hilarious errors

2:38 PM
All bold text is severely annoying and @VTCAKAVSMoACE 's message is already starred.

I never knew you felt this way.

@VTCAKAVSMoACE What does "estouro de phila" mean?

@zyabin101 Stack Overflow.

This is what I mean by chat autocomplete

2:40 PM
@VTCAKAVSMoACE Ah.

@trichoplax I know. But have you ever tried pressing autocomplete for "the next word I'll write" over and over again? It tells an easter-eggy story.

@wizzwizz4 Yes I don't like autocomplete in every context. Have you tried going with the second suggestion every time?

@trichoplax I was thinking of telling Marky to do that on occasion, but haven't gotten around to testing it yet.

@trichoplax I once used the first, second, fourth and eighth over and over.

The problem is when autocomplete learns your word patterns well enough to nearly always predict what you want to say, then it lulls you into a false sense of security

2:44 PM
@trichoplax Or opens up security holes. >.>

@trichoplax There's only 2 cases where autocomplete is really useful, for username (as you said, as they tend to be fairly unique after 3/4 characters), and when coding (wanna try to write this 35 char long class name each time? :))
2

@Katenkyo You use 35 character long class names???
@Katenkyo Good for avoiding typos in class names though

I've found it useful when texting iff I'm trying to be discreet about it (as in I'm supposed to be concentrating on something else).

@trichoplax I think it happened once or twice

Hum, is it possible to force a computer to swap memory?

@Katenkyo Yes. You pin it down, unscrew the back, hold its mother(board) hostage, rip out its RAM, then put the new RAM in.

because right now, I have 2 Mo on free memory, and it's becoming hard to work
@wizzwizz4 Guess I'll have to do that

@Katenkyo You're usiung Linux?

@zyabin101 sadly not, my DSI insist on using Windows
