Okay, I don't think I can reproduce this issue

Someone is trying to build a video game UI and redraw every part of it every second using an API not remotely designed for this

@Yuuki can confirm, rats do that

I'm approaching MAXIMUM OVERART and unless I do really silly things like oversite all the images

Redrawing the UI once per second doesn't sound that unreasonable.

This is not a graphics API, this is just a "hey I'd like to display maybe an image or two" (not that it's great at that but I digress)

But unless I'm trying to make all the images like 1000x1000 I don't have performance issues

It's not like you have any reason to redraw the entire UI every frame anyway

I asked the people who reported the bug to provide their images at least 3 times and they have refused

Hm. According to this email they sent which I thought was a typo they might be doing it 10 times per frame. That would be... interesting,

I don't know but one of the emails distinctly mentions calling it every 0.001667 seconds...

There is no way that any software should support redrawing something ten times per frame.

I have to test it now. I just assumed that was a typo but if that is what it takes to reproduce this...

Well I plugged the numbers in and nothing bad happened. I'm not entirely convinced anything happened at all though

I guess I have to let this program run for a while because they mentioned the issue being that they see drift from the official timestamps and the reported timestamps

@StrixVaria So I left this open over night, as I tend to do with incrementals, and woke up to find out it had gobbled up every ounce of memory my computer has.

Floor 1: enemies with 100-200 hp and 2-4 damage. floor 2: enemies with 500+hp and tons of damage.

@Yuuki That doesn't upgrade your magic though. And first floor grinding is boring once you 100%'ed it.

Heh, turns out idling on floor 1 all night lets me oneshot literally everything on floor two.

@Arperum You can get access to an upgrade that auto-casts Fireball at the beginning of a battle so you can level magic by idling on the first floor.

Death is absolutely brutal

I learned this when a coworker came by and I came back to crappy stats

Which ends up being writing 4 to the frame counter for the end of the level

And then setting bowser to stage 4, which is drop peach

@Yuuki You can lose stats, because one upgrade lowers the amount of stats you lose.

I like this incrementer but the start definitely stinks

@twobugs Dying results in you gbeing thrown to lvl 0 and idling toggling off for me.

It makes you go down 2 and idle off

Yeah, but you can lose entire levels

The spells are good, though. Barrier and slow are very helpful

Barrier also makes it easy to level your magic

If you want to use push to talk in the background for discord though you need to use the desktop app

I already have the desktop app installed. I didn't know there was an alternative until I already had it.

If you try in browser (last I checked) it's only when that tab is active. Which is only when your browser is active.

The desktop app is what I prefer anyway

It could be useful for people to sync up for multiplayer games too.

Just go into the Overwatch channel while you're playing Overwatch and people can see who's playing and join in if they want.

I know Overwatch has its own built-in voice chat but there's something to be said for a voice chat that works even out of the game.

Only problem is it might kill The Bridge since it also has text chat with EMOTES!

dxtory isn't necessarily gonna give you a lagless connection, it just allows you to stream your game as a webcam, so you could use it with a video calling software like skype or discord, that way the person watching would be getting video and sound at same time and you would be getting it back in a timely fashion

@Unionhawk You can make him come down, but the odds of cutting his tail and still being able to run past are slim. You could do one or the other that way, but it's easier to just run past. The sword isn't that good anyway.

it would require more bandwidth though, since you'd be sending out two video streams, although I imagine the one on video call would be of worse quality, thus less demanding

Say you are leveling in a random game and you would like to tell your friends your progression. If you are let's say level 50 and are headed towards level 51 with around 50%, would you describe it as 50% exp into level 51 or 50% into level 50?
