Wow, it went through a lot of edits and approvals. No wonder it took so long...

Write in a sensible language. Like Japanese.

Pansexuality, or omnisexuality, is sexual attraction, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of any sex or gender identity. Pansexual people may refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others. Pansexuality may be considered a sexual orientation in its own right or a branch of bisexuality, to indicate an alternative sexual identity. Because pansexual people are open to relationships with people who do not identify as strictly men or women, and pansexuality therefore...

"or" in English is xor
You meant actual or, which is "and/or"

Anonymous
6:25 AM
"or" in English is usually "xor" unless you're a mathy person and take things literally to the annoyance of your compatriots

Which makes more sense as a compound subject

The appearance of "or" between nouns forks the entire sentence into three worlds: one where only the first noun appears, one where only the second noun appears, and one where the compound noun using "and" appears. In 2/3 worlds, you need one verb, in the third world the other. Might as well pick a convention that flows well locally.
2
"and/or" is a weird modern construction that always flows poorly. Traditionally, you can use "or" as inclusive or exclusive depending on context, and "either... or" if you must have exclusive.
Or, if you must have inclusive "...or...or both"
The latter would quite explicitly take a plural verb, since "both" is plural

Hi everyone !

Hi there!
"Wiki" reminds me of something. Recently I visited a wikipedia essay (on a PC) and instead of the usual design, I got a fancy new design with a centered, fixed with article and a collapsible sidebar on the left. But I can't repro this anymore. Has this happened to someone here?

@mınxomaτ reminds me of the phone version of wikipedia, maybe a smaaaaall screen?

@Katenkyo Quite the opposite.

don't have to be on mobile to get the mobile site

8:56 AM
Oh yes.
@undergroundmonorail Which is kinda stupid.

i feel like there should be a way, they should just make it harder to do by accident

Except that every text on every website should use a fixed width, because full width text on 16:9/10 screens is absolutely horrible. I'm glad SE understood that early on.

hi @MartinBüttner

@undergound don't even need that, in dev's console of your browser, you can simulate small screens etc (for responsivity purpose), way more like what he wanted as he was on PC
@mınxomaτ it would be boring when developping a website to always use your phone to check it :)

@Katenkyo I know. I use the performance test in Chrome for this when working on sites (from within Brackets).

9:08 AM
@mınxomaτ btw i don't know if you cared enough to look into it but the SCP Foundation is a fictional organization that secures, contains and protects supernatural/paranormal objects, etc. it's basically a collaborative creative writing project. mostly (but not entirely) horror

So basically the creepypasta and the illuminati guys put their heads together.
2

right
most of the stuff on the wiki is in a very specific format because it's supposed to be their records about the stuff they have
so it's creepy stuff but everything you see is written very clinically
it's a neat effect

I just discovered this: If you draw the first line of an ASCII table in WordPad, it actually unlocks the table features and inserts it automatically (eg. +--+-+-----+ will insert a table with three columns of different sizes).
2

@mınxomaτ Nice feature Oo
(can't trigger it)

Trigger what?

9:22 AM
the Ascii thing
it won't draw an ascii table for me :'(

Just type +--+-+-----+ on an empty line and press return.
@Katenkyo No, it draws a real, proper table, not an ASCII one.
With tab-navigation, dragging, cell-formatting and whatnot.

@mınxomaτ oh, anyway, it doesn't work, maybe my wordpad it too old ^^

@Katenkyo I'm on Win10.

I'm on winXP :D

I'm on WinVista.

9:25 AM
@zyabin101 I pity you...

Even Windows 7 is starting to accumulate security risks MS won't fix (some of them I reported myself and they're still locked in RD). Using XP is pretty much like saying: "Here, attack me, ScriptKiddies of the world!".
2

@mınxomaτ I know, but it's because I'm on an old laptop actually ^^

@Katenkyo Well, try Tiny7 then. It's a lightweight Win7 distro (you still have to get a real Win7 license though).

@mınxomaτ I think I'll stick with my win XP for the moment, don't wanna make my company pay a licence for a laptop who will die in some months ^^

@Katenkyo The license is transferable. Once you got the key, you can use it on any Win7,8,8.1 and 10 installation.

9:33 AM
@mınxomaτ I knew for licenses 8/8.1 to 10, but not for win 7 ^^
But even with that, there's no use for an other license here, I won't be replaced when leaving (8 months from now):)
