@Rich Huh. It seems unclear to me if he wants to move lines, preserving (swapping) existing ones, or move them and delete intervening ones.

Vim says "Type :quit<Enter> to exit Vim" when you press ^C
Which is not something vi did (or nvi does)
I distinctly remember my first nvi session ending much like the picture ;-)
