looks like I'm now able to change the menu captions without re-generating the entire menus :)
...but I don't like how it's done at all
config gets loaded in the Localize() method of a ParentMenu base class that RubberduckParentMenu derives from
which means config would get loaded once for each parent menu out there
which is nonsense
and it's 3:40AM
hey @Rossco
oh wow, total facepalm
nevermind, it all works perfectly well

hey @Mat'sMug
What's happening?
Aren't you up pretty late?

Lol. I suppose so. Its early evening here.
I figured most programmers prefer to work late wake up late.
I was just fixing my bluetooth dongle for Windows 10 RTM.

Q: CommandBars, Buttons and Commands: Take 2

Mat's MugFollowing-up on CommandBars, Buttons and Commands: Cleanup is on the menu, I decided to try a more ambitious approach, as suggested in Nikita's answer. It works, but there are a number of "gotchas" that I'm not sure how to clean up. So I have an ICommand interface, and its generic counterpart: ...

[retailcoder/Rubberduck] retailcoder pushed commit a14a05bd to next: replaced -1 default value with a nullable int parameter
[retailcoder/Rubberduck] retailcoder pushed commit 910309a3 to next: Implemented ICommand - removed existing RD menu.

@RubberDuck Yeah I updated nuget packages., That's done. Now I've moved on to adding logging.

@JustinDearing Okay. Thanks. Please be sure to call that out in your PR. I'll want to do a little extra testing on the git integration.
that API isn't real stable yet.

> I'm checking out the Code Inspections now and loving it. I did come across one issue that I wanted to bring to your attention, as you were so helpful already and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to give back in testing time.

Here is what the Code Inspections found:

And here is line 174 of the module:
Dim temp As String, MySpot As Integer, HoursLeft As Single

> I don't know about the sorting precedence of a specific inspection vs. another, it seems to open the door to inconsistencies.

The bug is really that the quick-fix doesn't seem to account for multiple declarations on the same line, and was implemented to simply remove the line of the unused declaration. The solution is to make it remove the specific involved tokens, not wipe out the entire line.

I bet there are more like this.

Q: VBA code occasionally crashes

Seth39195I have a macro in excel that crashes maybe 40% of the time that I run it. It doesn't always crash at the same step and it always runs completely if I run it again immediately after crashing. I am a total VBA beginner so I assume that the issue lies in my coding. Does anyone have pointers for gett...
