Wow, VS 2015 feels like it has R# built in.

5:26 AM
@Hosch250 that's because you're hardly using 5% of R# features ;-)

ugh, I give up. this shit isn't working, I'm going to delay RD 2.0 to Christmas if I keep going that way. I'm "shelving" whatever changes I've made.

[retailcoder/Rubberduck] retailcoder pushed commit 6e0bc8d5 to next: made image and mask virtual properties in CommandMenuItemBase

@BatteryBackupUnit I'm struggling with this refactoring, I've shelved these changes in the ICommand_Shelved branch on my fork; the relevant namespace is Rubberduck.UI.Commands, and then there's the RubberduckModule class that holds the kernel bindings. — Mat's Mug ♦ 13 secs ago

Any help would be appreciated...

Ok so would configuring nlog from an xml file be kosher?
and would you prefer said config to be in the user folder or in the rubberduck folder?

Q: Looking to make this simpt vba script shorter

CerpinTaxtI've already written this macro that does exactly what I want it to do. However, it's quite large, and I may wish to expand on it in future. Basically, the purpose is to copy and paste items from a horizontal list (where RNG is equal to the number of items there), and take one cell from each. Any...

@JustinDearing AFAIK xml config doesn't work for class library projects. But yeah it would otherwise be kosher ;-)

@Mat'sMug There is an XmlConfigurator class that lets you specify the file. At least in 4.0.1. Stated looking after I upgraded nuget packages.

Q: Copying and pasting from MS Project to MS Excel with VBA

Seth39195Here is my code to copy data from project into excel to be calculated into a final report. The code runs pretty slowly at this point and I would like it to be a little bit faster. Is there any blatant coding mishaps that are slowing the calculations down? The code is written in excel, by the way....

@JustinDearing that's pretty cool, didn't know about it. I think the Ninject extension only works with 3.0 :-(
Screw the Ninject extension then!
(or fork Ninject and PR an extension for NLog 4.0)

ok I want to sent them another PR anyway. add procmo debug output

Been following the tag as well?
I was positively surprised

@JeroenVannevel Howdy.
You are building a product which integrates with Roslyn aye?

Sí, I am

How do you reference the Roslyn assemblies?
I.e. if I wanted to build a project which utilised them but didn't want to ship them.

Ehhh everything I need is in Microsoft.CodeAnalysis which I get from NuGet
I don't think these libraries are in .NET out-of-the-box

9:32 PM
nuget is good too.
Does that mean that your product only works in VS with Roslyn compilers enabled?
i.e. 2013 with Roslyn installed and 2015?

> Tricky scenario: a `Nullable<bool>` that is compared to `== false` cannot be changed to `!b` since that would cause the following error:

> Cannot implicitly convert type 'bool?' to 'bool'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

You can't use analyzers with Visual Studio 2013
So only 2015 is targetted
It can also be installed as an extension (though I still have to make that work) as opposed to being distributed through nuget
If you want a bunch of diagnostics in your local environment
NuGet is very useful because it allows you to bundle it with your own projects

Ok, thanks. FWIW I also found this blog just now which is pretty helpful.

Oh yeah, you really should follow Schabse
His blog is really, really interesting
